The Space:

Welcome to The Gathering Cottage - a peaceful retreat designed for families, couples, and small groups who want a little more space, a little more fun, and a lot more time together. Set on a private 12-acre property just minutes from Wimberley Square, the Cottage offers its own Hill Country escape complete with a private hot tub, propane grill, and our newest favorite feature - a fire pit hangout with swings, lights, and a cozy glow that makes everyone linger longer. Enjoy shared access to the disc golf course and fenced pickleball court, featuring shaded seating, Bluetooth speakers, a fan, and night lighting.



The Cottage sleeps up to 6 guests and includes 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, two porches, and a private outdoor hangout space. It’s the ideal setup for a relaxed Hill Country stay, close to town when you want it, and quiet when you don’t.

- Custom Murals: The perfect photo backdrop - "Texas Pride" shows off deer, bluebonnets, Texas flag, and a beautiful hill country sunset. "Winged Magic" is a floral butterfly-wing design, surrounded by flowers and bees. The bees are a tribute to the hives managed on the property’s back pasture.



THE OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE

Start the morning on the Texas-sized porch with coffee and deer in the distance. Spend the afternoon relaxing, playing pickleball, or exploring Wimberley. Then come back for dinner, a soak in the hot tub, and s’mores by the fire. And when the sun goes down, something beautiful unfolds overhead.



As part of Wimberley’s certified Dark Sky community, the stars are brighter, closer, and more breathtaking than most people remember. Bring your people. Bring your wish. And soak in a night sky that reminds you how big and beautiful this world is!



Guest Access:

You’ll enter through a private gate (code provided with check-in instructions). As you drive in, the Cottage is on the left, with a carport for covered parking. You’ll have full private access to the Cottage and its outdoor space, including the private hot tub, grill, porches, and fire pit swing area. Please note:

- The Gathering Main House, at the rear of the property, is booked separately. This property may have other guests on-site during your stay.

- Shared amenity access is limited to the pickleball court and disc golf course, or you can book the entire property for exclusive use of both homes, all amenities, and host up to 22 guests.



The Neighborhood:

The Main House and Cottage are about 1/4 mile from each other. There are mature trees, a large field (for disc golf) and the pickleball court between each home. This helps ensure guests at both homes have plenty of privacy!



Getting Around:

The Gathering is the epitome of luxury, relaxation, and entertainment. You might find it difficult to leave, and with all it has to offer, who could blame you? But should you choose to explore, Wimberley and the surrounding areas have a world of delights to offer. Savor delectable dishes at local restaurants, explore unique shops, and discover attractions like Jacob's Well, Blue Hole Regional Park, wineries, breweries, and a variety of fun activities and events. Just 20 minutes away, Canyon Lake beckons with boat and jet ski rentals, or enjoy live music concerts at Whitewater Amphitheater. Venture further to New Braunfels and Gruene for fabulous dining and live music. Spend a day tubing, kayaking, and rafting on the Guadalupe River. Families and children will adore Schlitterbahn Water Park and Landa Park. For shopping enthusiasts, the San Marcos Outlet awaits with over 240 shops for a day of endless retail therapy.



Other Things to Note:

- Pre-arrival form & rental agreement: We do ask for a copy of your ID as part of our guest screening process after the reservation is confirmed. You will also be asked to sign a rental agreement. Main renter must be over 25 years old.



- For liability and security purposes, there are external cameras at the entry gate, on the main house facing the party barn and on the outdoor gazebo facing the pool. The cottage has cameras facing the front walkway. There are NO inside cameras. Hosts may monitor external cameras at any time via a smartphone app, and cameras are not to be tampered with or covered.



- When you stay with HOSTIE Vacation Rentals, you are covered for any accidents that might happen up to $3000 with the added fee of $59 in your total. Coverage details are spelled out in your rental agreement. This is applied to all bookings.



- This property may have other guests on the property at the time of your stay. The pickleball court is shared between the two houses. The cottage does not have access to the main house pool, dinking court, or grill unless the whole property is rented. The cottage has its own hot tub and grill.



- CANCELLATION POLICY: The initial deposit is fully refundable up to 30 days prior to your stay, less a 6% processing fee. No refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of check-in. The cancellation policy will be upheld, no exceptions. All guests are encouraged to purchase trip insurance.



- Spa Usage and Maintenance Fee:

Our property features an above-ground spa for your relaxation and enjoyment. To ensure it remains clean and safe for all guests, we kindly ask you to follow these guidelines:

*Proper Use: Please follow all provided instructions for spa use. Avoid using any oils, lotions, or other substances that may contaminate the water.

*Hygiene: Shower before using the spa to help maintain water quality.

*Drainage Fee: If the spa requires draining and refilling due to improper use or excessive contamination during your stay, a maintenance fee of [$150] will be charged.

We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the spa in excellent condition for everyone.



- OPTIONAL FEES - We offer additional services that may be available for an additional fee (must be pre-approved by the host, non-refundable):

* Early Check-In - $35/hour

* Late Check-Out - $35/hour



- Please note that sightings of common insects or wildlife (such as skunks, snakes, scorpions, spiders, flies, wasps, mice, ants, etc.) do not qualify for refunds, as occasional encounters are possible in any rural environment.
