From biking scenic routes in summer to skiing Whiteface Mountain just 5 minutes away in winter, this home is perfectly placed for year-round adventure. Lake Placid is only 15 minutes away, making day trips easy and effortless.

Set beside the Whiteface Veterans’ Memorial Highway and close to Santa’s Workshop, the location also offers classic Adirondack experiences for families and explorers alike.

Summer 2026 Events

Weekly Summer Concert Series — Wilmington Beach
Enjoy live outdoor music throughout the summer with local food vendors, mountain views, and a relaxed Adirondack atmosphere perfect for weekend getaways.

July 25 — Wilmington Mountain Music Fest
The 5th annual festival returns to Wilmington Ball Park, 3:00 PM start. Live bands, craft vendors, food trucks, beer garden, and family entertainment surrounded by Adirondack mountain scenery. Tickets from $25 (kids under 10 free).

October 2–4 — WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series
A major international event at Whiteface Mountain and Mt Van Hoevenberg, crowning the 2026 World Cup champions. Big crowds expected — great to know if your guests are booking a stay around that weekend.

Guest access
Parking is located in front of the house and is uncovered, we can accommodate 2-3 vehicles. If you have a pick-up or longer vehicle, you can park in the right side of the house. Please note, the left side is a driveway and can't be blocked at any time. Across the street is the visitor center, you may park there temporarily if needed.

We use a self check in door code so no need to use keys.

- Note: The laundry room is located downstairs in the building. It is not inside the apartment itself. We also have a portable crib and high chair available. Please request if needed.

LOWER LEVEL ACCESS NOTICE:
Just a friendly reminder that the laundry room is the only guest-accessible area on the lower level. All other rooms and doors on that level are strictly for storage/staff use and are not permitted for guest entry.

Pets - We may allow pets on a case by case basis, please message us to see if we can accommodate. Cleaning fee applies. For the comfort of all guests, we are unable to accommodate cats on the property.

Backyard & Water Access Disclaimer:

We’ve made some big updates in the backyard!

We now have direct water access with a newly installed dock, plus added hammocks, extra chairs, and tables so you can relax and enjoy the space even more.

If you’d like to use the hammock and some outdoor games, they are located in the laundry room for your convenience.

The laundry room has also been improved and clearly labeled for easier access during your stay.

Please note these areas are for use at your own risk, as no lifeguard or supervision is provided. Children must be supervised at all times around the water.

All water access and related activities are used at your own risk, and surfaces may be uneven or slippery.

The property owner and management cannot be held responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur while using these spaces.

We recommend bringing your own firewood so you can fully enjoy the outdoor fire pit during your stay. Firewood can also typically be purchased at nearby gas stations or from local vendors along the road.

This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $37 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.

Due to the time needed to adequately clean the unit, we are not able to offer early check-in or late check-out. Please book an extra night if you would like to guarantee an early check- in or a late check- out.

If an unauthorized event occurs, a $500 fee will be charged. No parties or events are allowed, per VRBO policy.
