'This place is gorgeous! Every aspect of our stay was outstanding. The staff is kind, courteous, and very helpful. Access to the gardens made for a beautiful morning walk. We added on the dinner package, which came with two entrees and a bottle of wine and it was fabulous! They have live music every night in their lounge which was also really lovely. We can't wait to come back.'

'Staying at the Independence was a great experience. It’s a lovely hotel with a great staff. And the area can’t be beat. You can walk downtown, to the river, to the park. The rooftop patio is beautiful and my kids and I saw the osprey nest AND got to watch the osprey leaving the nest and returning. Shout out to Kathryn (the one who spells her name with a k and y) at the front desk. She had infinite patience with me and with my children! '

'The room itself was very nice and quiet. Check in was easy and the gentleman was very friendly. The property itself is a bit run down, but looks like it is being renovated. Not a great part of town, but a good value. Would stay again.'

'Our favorite hotel in Eugene! Everything was wonderful, as usual. Staff are great, welcome glass of wine was nice, free snacks and water. Rooms are spotless and beds are very comfy. '
