Step inside through the small mudroom addition, where you’ll find space to hang coats and settle in after a day outdoors. From there, the main door opens into the living area, a cozy space with a couch and a warm cottage feel.

At the centre of the cottage, the original brickwork from the fireplace adds character and naturally separates the living room from the kitchen area. The kitchen features original wood cabinetry and includes the basics needed to prepare simple meals during your stay.

This is a rustic, classic family cottage, not a luxury resort-style home, making it ideal for guests who appreciate charm, privacy, and a more traditional cottage experience.

Markdale is the closest town for groceries, restaurants, gas, and other essentials. Nearby waterfalls, trails, small towns, and scenic areas are best explored by car.

Guests have access to the riverfront area and brand-new dock for swimming and relaxing by the water. As with all natural waterfront areas, guests are responsible for using caution around the river, dock, shoreline, stairs/paths, and outdoor spaces. Water shoes are recommended.

★ No Air Conditioning ★
The cottage does not have air conditioning. Guests are encouraged to use windows, natural airflow, and the shaded tree-lined setting to stay comfortable during warmer weather.

The cottage has running UV-filtered water.

★ Outdoor Spaces ★
Guests are welcome to enjoy the deck, outdoor furniture, picnic table, tree-lined property, and riverfront dock during their stay. Please use all outdoor areas respectfully and follow any posted or guidebook instructions.

Please refrain from smoking inside the cottage. Any evidence of indoor smoking will result in fees for odour removal and professional cleaning.

Parties and events are not permitted. The cottage is intended for peaceful stays with family, friends, and mature groups. We kindly ask all guests to treat the property with care so it remains enjoyable for future stays.

★ Quiet Hours & Neighbourly Respect ★
Although the property feels very private and secluded, guests are asked to be respectful of the peaceful natural setting. Outdoor noise should be kept to a minimum during evening and overnight hours.

Health, safety, and comfort are very important to us. The cottage is professionally cleaned between stays, with attention to high-touch surfaces, bathrooms, kitchen areas, linens, and guest spaces.
