The history and story of restoration were interesting. Most striking were the helpful and personalized communications from the manager and staff. The price paid through Xpedia was reasonable, I would not use the phone number advertised for reservations as it appeared routed to a call center and was a significantly higher price than online booking price. Itâs an old building but that is much of the charm and authenticity of this unique venue. The staff appear to take security and hospitality seriously; the modern plumbing and access to a small refrigerator was appreciated. I visited the pool area but did not swim; it appears clean and attractive.
Jonathon the Hotel manager made sure we were comfortable with the directions to enter the property and followed up with a phone call to make sure we were enjoying our stay
Needed a quiet weekend getaway from New Orleans and was so pleased to discover Hotel Klaus. Itâs a beautiful building with charming touches. The communication from the hotel manager was informative and helpful. Had the pleasure of staying in room #1 - formerly the Klaus familyâs dining room. The bedroom and bathroom were both gorgeous and incredibly spacious. Washington has never been on my radar before, but between the incredible meal we experiences at the Steamboat Warehouse restaurant and the treasures found at Schoolhouse antique mall I am already planning a a return visit. Excited for the hotel restaurant to open in the future!
Wonderful Stay! Loved everything about this beautiful property! Management was so accommodating and made check in and out a breeze! Canât wait to come back and take a dip in the gorgeous pool! So close to antique shopping! Lovely place to stay in town for a wedding! Loved that they preserved all the beautiful woodwork from this historic building and modernized it for comfortable amenities!
