We are centrally located to visit Yachats and Newport. Come visit the beach and rejuvenate!!! Ocean views, a woodstove, and our new Hot Tub with rainbow LED lights provide a truly relaxing beach getaway. We have close beach access and one of the best sandy beaches for beachcombing.
The Moonstruck Mermaid is owned by two artists who come to the home frequently to get inspiration for their glass and quilt art. You will see examples of their art throughout the house. The home has hardwood and ceramic tile flooring with cedar ceilings and walls throughout. As soon as you walk thru the door into the gathering room of the home your shoulders will feel lighter. The Moonstruck Mermaid has both a living room and a gathering room with game table. Our guests have enjoyed being able to watch a movie in one room and listen to music in the other. We provide HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and On Demand for those evenings when it feels so good to just kick back and be entertained. The gathering room has a cedar cathedral ceiling with three skylights; you can watch the moon travel across the evening sky thru the skylights. There is a wall mounted 50' HDTV with DVD player. This room also has a full size sleeper sofa that will comfortably sleep two, two leather recliners and a game table. Further there is a wet bar fully stocked with glassware, cocktail shakers, ice bucket, etc. Also there is a half bath off this room and an outside courtyard with morning sun.

There is a pass thru from this room into the newly remodeled kitchen with a JennAir convection range. There is even a crock pot to simmer a winter stew whilst you are on adventures during the day. The ocean view dining room will comfortably seat six. The living room also has a cedar cathedral ceiling, fabulous ocean view, woodstove, a 50' flat screen with DVD player and opens onto the expansive ocean view glassed in deck. The ocean view master bedroom has a queen pillowtop bed, large closet, 37 ' flat screen HDTV and also opens onto the deck conveniently close to the hot tub. The ocean view second bedroom also has a queen wrought iron canopy bed with handmade mermaid quilt. The large main bathroom has a bathtub/shower combination. The glass tile countertop and knobs in the bath were created by the owners. And finally, there is a utility room with washer and dryer.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the Moonstruck Mermaid are all the outside relaxing areas. The lavender and herb garden are quite unique so close to the ocean. There is a seating area in the lavender garden with a dazzling ocean view and glass tile mosaic bench. There is a second lavender side garden with seating and ocean view. The expansive glassed in deck on the west and south side of the house are where the four person hot tub resides. The deck also has a private area for moon bathing after getting out of the hot tub. The deck furniture is comfortable and will seat four people.

The back yard is securely fenced for your pets. Our pet guests have enjoyed this feature.
