Approximately 1100 square feet of generously furnished up-scale living above a beach with breath-taking unobstructed views across blue Maalaea Bay to other islands and Maui's south shore below the Haleakala volcano. Watch whales and relax on the lanai after stimulating beach walks and swimming in the warm ocean below, or the solar-heated pool.

Perfectly accommodates 4 adults with private baths adjoining each bedroom, and all other amenities for graceful living on the top (4th) floor away from the seashore, yet on it. Kanai A Nalu is secluded on a road that ends at a small nearby park, and begins within walking distance at Maalaea's Boat Harbor and the nation's largest ocean reef aquarium with its shops, restaurants and tourist attractions, including some fast food for those still in a hurry.

The view from the balcony was phenomenal!! It is retro style but very comfortable, no problems sleeping and no sore back in the morning!! No AC but the breeze off the ocean did just fine, even had to use beach towels for lap throws in the evening. Very clean property and nice accommodations such as access to beach next door and a solar heated pool…. Everyone was very nice and inviting!!

Amazing views and condo had everything we needed. It is a very dated condo compared to the other dozen or so we’ve stayed in over the years and could use some repairs here and there, but you get what you pay for. This Unit is one of the cheapest with the front views. It was pretty warm during our stay, high 80’s, but the numerous fans were helpful since there is no air conditioning. Hosts were very responsive for any issues and everything was clean and stocked well for a week visit.

Perfectly Imperfect! LOVED IT

I love how lived-in this condo is. I know that I can relax and make myself comfortable, throw in a load of laundry, grab a boogie board and head for the sand, hit the pool and chat up the neighbors, walk down to the cafe and get a coffee/breakfast sandwich, hop on a boat or just spend the day on the most-of-the-day shaded lanai. Housekeeping is friendly and accomodating, the owner has all the details in hand and I never worry about getting help IF I ever needed it. I look forward to the next time I get to stay at this condo and highly recommend it to anyone ..... but most especially to those laid back Aloha types that appreciate a perfectly imperfect lived in condo! Mahalo

Beautiful views and whales

This was a perfect setting! Quiet safe neighborhood to easily walk and the views from the lanai were breathtaking. We watched whales every day from the balcony! We could easily access any part of the island and had necessities close by. Could not have had a better location. Host was non existent after booking. Apparently had health issues but never gave check in info to anyone. Had to scramble to contact management on a Sunday. Very poor start to a great stay.

Very good value and location

We stayed a week. The property is older and some of the furnishings are a bit dated, but overall clean, comfortable and well furnished for our needs. The view from our balcony was amazing. The location is very convenient for getting to all parts of the island. The owner was quick to respond to our questions.

Awesome view, condo needs upgrades!

Obviously, the view was awesome! The view sells a lot of people, it sold us. The condo could use an upgrade and a thorough cleaning. Carpet in bedroom was worn to backing. Throw rug covered but cause trip hazard. We have to pay 150 for cleaning I would have expected to be clean of dust. The biggest sell was the patio when we were there!!

Super comfortable with amazing view

Loved this place, the view is unbeatable. The beds and sheets were extremely comfortable. I loved opening the windows and sleeping to the ocean. The fans helped keep it cool. I’d just say for future guests make sure to bring travel body wash, shampoo and laundry detergent. We had to buy some and it’s not cheap!

Great location and amazing view

We have stayed at different units many times in the past 20 years. The location never disappoints. We loved the opportunity to stay ocean front and on the top floor which was the best ever. This unit was clean and well equipped. Since this location always has a breeze, not having air conditioning was never an issue. We would totally stay in this unit again without hesitation.

Great on the water location

We had a beautiful view and able to watch whales every day from our lanai. Kitchen was well stocked. No air conditioning but sufficient cross breeze and plenty of fans if needed. Being right on the ocean you could listen to the waves rolling in. One observation however is that at night the waves seemed to get louder as they slapped upon the break wall. There were some things in the condo that had been undated but there were still some areas that could benefit from additional updates. Over all we had an enjoyable stay and it was a pleasure dealing with Marlene.
