'Me, my partner and our 2 dogs spent an amazing weekend there ❤️ The place is magical. We went for long walks around the fields, ate amazing food in the restaurant at the property, swam in a swimming pool, and enjoyed the area around. Definitely recommend to visit! 'We had a 2 night stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. Faultless service from the staff in all areas and particularly the restaurant. Spa area and all 3 pools are spotless, just enough loungers, more than enough towels and shade - and on a hot day a beautiful place to chill out after exploring Bath. Bar lounge menus and main restaurant menu are good value, food is excellent.'

'A very beautiful and unique hotel in a spectacular area just away from the tourist drag of Bath city center. The hotel has alot of character and period decor. Its an old hotel, so the heating was nit on, understandibly so as it was May. The plumbing is also not updated, so there is a hot tap and a cold tap at the sink. The facilities are adequate for a shorter stay. The hotel is being upgraded, so there was alot of noise above us for our 2 night stay. The staff are friendly and helpful.'

However, access was limited to a few morning and evening hours unless guests paid an additional £70 per person, which was disappointing for a hotel of this category and price point. The restaurant and bar areas felt rather uninviting and never encouraged us to dine or spend time there. 'Great location. Super clean and upgraded facility. Plenty of space for 3 people. Excellent communication with the host. Packing garage was a challenge for our volvo station wagon but with stiff nerves and guts we did get it in with the outside mirrors closed 😥'
