Ocean Gypsy is a classic gem in the most prestigious location. A place of peace and joy; fun and great memories. There is something for everyone in this location. Check out all the local activities, but don't underestimate the many hours you will soak up sun and play on Cordova Bay and Cordova Bay Beach.

Before you book, ask us anything, we are totally honest, and transparent about our character home. As stated above, our place is NOT NEW, but she is gorgeous and a great place to create great memories with family and friends.

We keep our place tidy, comfy, casually well-appointed and everything is in working order. We have furnished it with all the modern conveniences you need, but there is no way to make a Spanish-Mediterranean circa 1945ish classic beach home into a brand new home without tearing her down and losing her original charm. And although we are continually upgrading her, and her systems, we have started first with bringing her electricity and water systems to code, and over time, we will address her other antiquated systems.

If you want to stay right on the beach, there will be daily on and off shore winds which constantly change the humidity and pick up sand and dust every day and move it around. If it is in the winter, you will be mesmerized with storm watching, whereas, in the summer, the bay is tranquil, making it great for stand-up boarding, kayaking, sailing, and swimming at low-tide when the sun and warm the shallower waters.

Our place is not the newest on the beach, but we also are aware that she is a rare and unique gem that truly captures the magic and vistas of Cordova Bay.

READ BEFORE BOOKING if you are BOOKING during the RAINY SEASON (September-May)

There is a random iterant small leak which many trades people have come and tried to fix over the past four winters. However, the leak has been very difficult for anyone to find and fix as it only happens when the wind and rain are in some weird perfect alignment. However, there is a water bucket under the sink and please put out if the drip decides to bless you with its presence! :) As mentioned, it only happens once in a blue moon, and we have been told that probably the only way to truly solve it is to remove the sunroom altogether. This is on our to-do list in upgrades, but replacement will not happen for a few years until we have officially retired, we will have time to invest in this issue. In the meantime, you are welcome to book our property knowing this. Due to this, we decrease the rates in the wet season just in case the horizontal wind and rain align to make it appear for a tad.

4-6 people (one air mattress) extra air mattresses can be pre-approved. Over 6 people. Fee of 100.00 per week, per guest.
2 Queen beds (4 people) - All other people will need to sleep on air mattresses or couches.

11. Parking
Off-street
Usually ample free street parking off Cordova Bay Road. Please do not use the driveway.

12. Water Toys
Stand-up boards and kayaks can be kept on the property, but guests are completely responsible for their safety. No boards are allowed in the suites, but can be locked to railings on the cement pad at the end of the driveway (sea -end) Watch your footing.
Motor or Sail Boats - we do not have a boat launch site, so you will need to launch your boat at local boat launch. Smaller boats, like Lasers, can be launched at Beach Access right beside the property (if they are not too big) to get down the ramp.
Mooring buoy rental is available for 500.00 a week (use at your own risk and liability)
