'My four-night stay at Hotel Don Ernesto La Chimba was wonderful, highlighted by the friendly staff and the absolutely excellent breakfast spread. The location is incredibly peaceful, tucked away in the jungle yet conveniently just 30 minutes from the airport. While some reviewers highlight that the rooms aren't Ritz-Carlton quality, I think it is important to note that the prices certainly reflect that, and the hotel offers tremendous value for an authentic and relaxing stay.'

We spent most of our time outside of the property so we were unable to use the amenities such as the pool etc. but having them is definitely a plus. I also like the fact that the community is gated. 'This property needs to be renovated. It’s poorly managed. The furniture is old, the appliances are dated and were not properly cleaned, and the beds were uncomfortable. The pool area was nice but you’ll have to climb a million stairs to get to the pool. Not feasible to do in a daily basis. Lost power several times. There were bugs in the unit. The area is convenient, there’s alot w/in the area that’s w/in walking distance. And there are a lot of great restaurants w/in a 15min commute by...
