'We had a good stay at the HGI in Gastonia. Generally clean, with some signs of wear in the room, but otherwise fine. The staff was above and beyond nice and helpful at the front desk (Crystal was a standout- VERY nice!). The bartender was also nice and helpful when kids in our group wanted to order food. The lounge areas outside and in the lobby were good for adult hangouts. The ONLY things we didn't love were that the pool area was SO loud that we ended up leaving when a group of about 7...

'Great breakfast, clean hotel, manager is great, pool and gym are ok. Not much around the hotel but they offer great home cooked meals. Overall good hotel. '

'The pretty lobby pictured, was not accessible, it was locked after hours. Room was disgusting. Floor was sticky. Shower looked like someone had peed in it. '

'I liked everything about this hotel.The walls are really thin, though, and our neighbor's next door kept going in and out slamming their door every forty five minutes.Don't know what the heck they were doing.But it was really annoying. This is our second stay here, and I definitely will think about staying here again'
