'The staff were genuinely excellent—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. They were kind to accommodate my request for a late checkout when I was running late.
The room itself was spotless and well-maintained, which immediately put me at ease. Housekeeping clearly does a great job here, and everything felt fresh and comfortable throughout my stay. Location was good for me as I drove up there, there was enough parking spots.

'Firstly, I didn’t make use of the ‘amenities’. I was visiting parents who had moved house so this was literally a place to rest my head. That being said, the restaurant staff were lovely as I arrived late when l they were finishing shift so helped me find keys and get in.
The room was decent - comfortable bed, shower and separate toilet. The only gripe I had was that the toilet light was on a timer so when cleaning teeth/washing face etc light would go off after 15s or so.

'Pleasantly surprised at how large the room was. While there are a few areas of wear and tear, I found the room to be comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable and even thought this location doesn’t have airco, they do have a fan in room. While small, the fan was sufficient to keep it cool enough for a good nights sleep.
We would definitely return to this location, if needed, in the future.
No info about breakfast because we didn’t need it but you are conveniently next to a service area so...

'Historic hotel in great location for visiting the gardens and the opera house. Large room with good enough facilities.
Good early dinner in the bar with attentive staff. We had a late breakfast at a busy time; reasonable choice. Metal serving spoons under the hot canopy were too hot to use; coffee was weak.'

'We had reason to request to move room and the staff were very accommodating and looked after us well - top marks for that. The evening dinner (pie of the day) was actually unexpectedly excellent and the accompanying veggies were nice and crisp - very enjoyable. The only minor quibble was that due to TV mounting it was next to impossible to get a HDMI stick plugged in (something maybe to check into). Anyhow, all in all, nicely situated and a nice place to stay at and all the staff we encountered...

'There was only one member of staff there over our 2 day stay & she was really nice and helpful (she seemed to be covering reception, housekeeping & kitchen). Got to say all the public areas could do with a good hoover and the skylight in our room was covered in green algae. Our room was clean (apart from the skylights) but small. Breakfast was really poor for the price we paid.
Hotel in general needs a good update as has loads of potential.'

'Lovely quirky hotel. Free parking and in easy reach of public transport with only a short tram journey to the centre of Sheffield.
Rooms clean and welcoming. Beds comfy and a modern clean and large on suite.
Breakfast was perfect with help yourself cereal toast and a full menu of various cooked options to choose from cooked fresh with table service.
Only downside breakfast room was far too hot.
