Going into the reception we were hit by an overwhelming sewage smell. This was the case for both the first and second floor. The hotel was also a construction site and undergoing a total renovation. Neither of these issues was addressed or informed of beforehand.
The room itself wasn't to bad, but the bathroom was old and worn down. The breakfast was ok, but having to pass through the sewage stank to get there wasn't very inviting. If it hadn't been for the room and breakfast I would have rated this as terrible, but this saved it by a hair.
Thought to address this when checking out, but wasn't even asked how our stay had been and just wanted to get out of the stink by then.
Unbelievable this wasn't informed or addressed when booking or ahead of time. Would for sure have booked something else had we known.
Not offering a discount or other form of reimbursement is just sad and bad customer service.
It will probably be nice when everything is done some time in the future, but that will be without me as I have no plans to come back.
Do NOT recommend, STAY AWAY!
