Great place to stay in Ireland. Lots of fun. My grandmother was born in Ireland near here. Visited with cousins. First Near Shannon. Then in Tipperary. Went north to visit the Caldwell Castle. My daughter-in-law's name is Caldwell. Snodgrass is a Scotch/Irish name, but my father converted to Catholicism. We went to Giant's Causeway. We had seen it before, but my daughter-in-law wanted to see it. Finished up at Arhelow House. Visited with cousins the night before because my one cousin was leaving on a cruise with his wife in the morning. Had dinner on Saturday night at my other cousins house. Again, it was a fabulous experience.
We were the first guests in Cottage Aherlow and felt very comfortable there. It is a newly renovated and tastefully furnished holiday home with a large kitchen and a comfortable dining and living area. Two of the three bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, which we found really handy, the third bathroom with bathtub is located in the basement. There is also a large TV with AppleTV and very fast internet. On the terrace with a beautiful garden you can sit and relax comfortably. In the vicinity there are many hiking trails in the stunning nature. We definitely recommend the great view at the Christ the King statue (approx. 2 km from the accommodation).
The hosts are very friendly and were always helpful. Since we had a wonderful time at Cottage Aherlow, we can only recommend it to everyone.
