I don't have a petThis house is very comfortable, great sofa and dining set, great view.Be sure to get your passcode before going to Oceanside where there is no reception ..The key pad is chalanging--had to try many times before it worked.

On the plus side, the view of the beach, ocean, and sea stacks from this property is beautiful. Overall, the kitchen was nice, with plenty of dishes, pots, etc.. There were many spices and some coffee filters. The property management company leaves a little box with some basic cleaning supplies, which is helpful. On the minus side, the beach was not quite as close as we expected from the reviews, and the sheets seemed to be clean, but had some small stains and were somewhat worse for wear. Most inconvenient for us, the washer was broken, which only became evident when we loaded our clothes and soap and put down the raised lid to find the "out of order" sign. We picked this property for the view and availability of a washing machine as we had planned a very active vacation. Unfortunately, there is no laundromat nearby. We were unable to reach the local property manager at the time, but received a nice phone call when we returned home and a partial refund. We appreciated the genuine concern about the matter and the partial refund, but a working washer would have been so much better.

Fantastic ocean view, great amenities, pet-friendly (even had a pet towel and water/food bowls available which was a nice touch!), EV charger in parking spot was nice to have, short walk to beach, quiet, clean. All around wonderful experience - 5 out of 5!!

Spring break

The place is nice and very clean. The bathroom is a little dated but cute. The rooms are on the small size. One of the rooms could fit bunkbeds better we r than a full size bed. Lose to tje ocean but it is a step walk. Overall it was a nice stay and loved the location and view.

Great view

What a great view of the beach. The dining room windows are a great place to sit and watch the tide go out while spotting whales. The only downside is that we had limited cell service in Oceanside and we did not receive check-in information until 3 PM on the day of check-in. By this time we were already in town at the beach but couldn't receive the access code because we didn't have cell service. The property isn't huge but provides an amazing spot for enjoying the Oregon coast!

Best view in Oceanside!

This is my second time staying, and it's probably my favorite place in Oceanside. The view is the best! I could sit at the table all day and look out the window. The house is very comfortable - nice beds, well-equipped kitchen, and super comfortable couch. The TV could use an upgrade. Would definitely return.

Wonderful place!

Great views, well appointed kitchen (yes they do have salt/pepper). Thank you for providing a coffee grinder too! Beds were ok, could use a new queen mattress (double bed was good though). There is a lot of light coming in the bedrooms even with blinds closed. We will be back to this same place though - with sleep masks.

Great view but needs some updates

The view is spectacular and the balcony is fantastic. It’s a short (but steep) walk to the beach. Overall it was a great trip but the linens and mattresses are in desperate need of updating. The unit could also use a deep clean (the fans were filthy). No Tupperware, foil, or oil provided so be sure to bring those items. The couch was comfy and we enjoyed playing games at the table and looking out to enjoy the view. There is also no A/C and the window crank was broken during our stay so it was quite hot in the evenings. The view is worth it but probably wouldn’t stay again.

Awesome view!

The view was phenomenal and the apartment was very clean. The apartment is not lived in so you need to bring your own salt and pepper, oil, foil, etc. There was plenty of cooking dishes, pots and pans, dishes. The place could use new linens, (stained), but mattresses very comfy. The unit was very quiet and once we figured out the black out blinds in the bedrooms, the street light was not an issue!

Peaceful Get-Away

This is a great place for hanging out and watching waves from the window. The weather during our stay was not good and nearby trails we wanted to hike on were closed, but this unit was very cozy for playing Scrabble, reading and relaxing!

Quick trip to Oceanside

Loved the place, plenty of room and great view. Beds very comfortable ( firm). Will return, Would have been nice to have matches as the grill lighter wouldn’t work.

Great beach retreat

Amazing view of the ocean and an adorable beach house overall. We only stayed in one of the rooms but the bed is comfortable. The other one squeaked a lot. There’s two places to eat within a 5 minute walk and a Safeway in town. The only negatives we had is service is poor as expected and the tv has a thin green line through it. Highly recommend this place!

The place was just as nice as it was portrayed in the pictures! Very comfortable and relaxing!😀

We went with another couple and our chocolate lab for a birthday getaway for me. We had a great time! The place was very neat and clean and was tastefully decorated. The kitchen had what we needed to cook several meals and we had a lot of fun putting together two of the puzzles that were provided. All of us enjoyed the view from the windows and saw some sea lions playing in the surf. The bedrooms are small but that wasn’t a problem, the beds are really comfortable. We picked a rainy time of year but it didn’t matter. We had a lovely time anyway. I would stay their again!

Stunning views, nice cottage

Our stay at Berni's Castle was an enjoyable one. We've stayed at Oceanside before, and we always love coming here. The views out of the windows were amazing. They were breathtaking. The property was tastefully updated, but it already seems to be showing its age. While nicely done, the finishes, appliances, and TV were dated. Not to worry, as the home's location is why we chose to stay here. We enjoyed the stay a lot. Our only complaint was that the unit was not cleaned well from the previous renters. There was sand all over the couch, and the floors were sandy and slightly gross. For that, I deducted one star from the rating. Otherwise, we loved our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again if we found ourselves in the area.

Lovely view and very clean!!

Cutest little place ever with a great view. We stayed over spring break and did some whale watching from the balcony...just amazing. The place was clean and the beds were comfy, we will definitely be back to this little gem.

Awesome place

Awesome place, loved the view, the sound of the ocean the comfort of the place. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable. Our only complaint was that we bought a new movie to watch on the DVD for one evening and we could not figure out how to get the DVD player to turn on. The TV built in DVD player said our disc was bad (but it was new) and the actual player which was separate from the TV was plugged in and the cords attached to the TV but just would not turn on. We would absolutely come back and recommend this place.

Lovely property with amazing ocean views

There are a few things in the unit that need attention and other renters have commented on. Otherwise a place we would come back to. A local gray whale made a daily appearance that was viewed from the dining table
