'Clean building and rooms. Super friendly and helpful staff. Amenities are very basic, but the price per night is very reasonable. Close to lots of restaurants and the SHSU campus. Outdoor pool looked nice but we couldn't use it because it rained all weekend.'

'Not as new as photos made it look - at all. This is an old motel. Also, not as large as pictures. Overall, pretty run down for the Best Western name. Not what I expected from Best Western - the reason I trusted it. More in line with an outdated Super 8. The only part I would give 5 star is the back lit vanity mirror which was spotless too. Tub had no traction and was super slick. Shower curtain was white and a little dingy. Bedding was white and looked old and dingy. The pillows on the king bed...

'Room 100 was very noisy. It had the sound of a loud motor going off every 5-10 minutes. Also, it had a very strong smell of perfume (a stinky air freshener was plugged in the wall) and I’m very sensitive to smells. I’ve had good experiences at this hotel but this wasn’t one of them. '

'The breakfast menu was not great. No eggs, mostly carbs, and no fresh fruit. The power went out in the bathroom as we were getting ready the next morning. No one was at the front desk as we left, so there was no one to share this info with.'

'The room was clean and all of the soaps and shampoos smelled so good! The bed was very comfortable. Are favorite thing was the breakfast! They had these egg rounds that were perfect shapes to make breakfast sandwiches. And the yogurt station was awesome! We’ll definitely stay here again :)'

'We enjoyed staying at the Woodland Resort. We dined, chilled at the pool, and enjoyed the lobby bar before going to dinner. Friendly staff and beautiful property! '

'Breakfast was awful. Before 8am on a Tuesday morning they were out of eggs, and only had overcooked peppery sausage patties and a few biscuits. Most of the time when we passed the lobby there was no one around. The floor in our room must have been cleaned with a filthy mop. We could hear the people talking in the next room. '

'This place is charming and nestled in the woods of east Texas, it’s great for unwinding and getting away from the city for a few days, beautiful outdoor deck for birdwatching or just relaxing, Room was very comfortable and clean, the breakfast that we ate was outstanding, the owners were very hospitable and we will be going back.
