'Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. 'Castle House B&B is perfectly located right in the centre of Richmond. It is a lovely elegant Georgian property (c1809), full of charm and history with an inviting lounge to meet other guests. The breakfasts are exceptional, catering from light buffet to full English. Our room (Redmire) is probably the smallest (on first floor), but ample enough for a three days stay.
