Sleeps 2 plus baby. Quality 1-bed first floor apartment in a modern,secure complex with a cobbled courtyard and a relaxing swimming pool.

Set in the quiet back streets of historic Tavira and surrounded by typical Algarve houses, it's central location allows you to leave the car behind and immerse yourself in the local atmosphere by walking through the narrow cobbled streets, peering through open doors to see a secret courtyard or visiting small shops for their locally produced products.

At night Tavira is a bustling city with a multitude of restaurants on either side of the river providing a variety of cuisine. During the summer months, in the main square, you can pass away the late evening hours watching the live shows, or listen to the music whilst enjoying a cool drink at one of the al fresco cafes. Tavira accommodates all tastes and styles throughout each season and the apartment is ideally positioned to meet your needs.

The apartment is only 2 minutes walk to a bar and café, 5 minutes to the market for fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables and only a few minutes walk to shops, restaurants and the riverside.

Set in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, Tavira has retained a lot of its old character and avoided mass tourism. As it is not solely a holiday resort, it is still a good place to visit in winter. It is ideally situated for exploring the whole Algarve and also Spain (30 km away). There are 6 golf courses within a 20km radius, including Benamor (4km), Quintas Ria and Cima (7km). Take a ferry to Tavira island beaches, hire bikes and cycle old tracks or walk for miles on empty beaches.

The apartment has a living/dining room with sliding windows which open onto the balcony which catches the sun all year round. It overlooks the pool, the roofs of traditional houses and the copola of São Sebastian church.
There is a dining table with four chairs, TV, video player and a new sofa which converts into a double bed.
The kitchen, overlooking the street and traditional roof tops, is at the back and is fully fitted including washing machine and dishwasher.
The bedroom also overlooks the quiet street and has a double bed and a range of fitted cupboards. The small balcony catches the early morning sun.

A lovely apartment in a convenient location even within the complex as it is right opposite the swimming pool so super for quick access. The apartment is beautiful and homely. It doesn’t want for anything including a parasol to take to the beach. It is immaculately clean as is the complex. The check-in was easy and the use of a secure car park is a plus. I can highly recommend and hopefully will visit again one day. People staying on the complex were very friendly and I made some new friends whilst there.

This is a lovely big apartment in a great location: close to bars, restaurants, supermarkets and the ferry for Ilha de Tavira. We choose to eat in a few times, and the well-equipped kitchen was a bonus. The quality of everything in the apartment was top notch, nothing felt cheap and it’s obvious that a lot of thought has gone into everything.This a a real home from home and if we visit Tavira again, this will be our first choice for somewhere to stay.

Perfect apartment

This was our 3rd time visiting Tavira but 1st in this apartment. Best stocked apartment i have ever stayed in even down to a dental repair kit. A large 1 bedroom apartment and spotlessly clean. Great location just a couple of minutes to town centre with all restaurants and bars and 2 minute walk to ferry for beach. Only thing missing was a safe for our valuables. Would definitely go back again.

Even better than expected

Spacious and well equpped, the property had everything you might require for a holiday. The garage was really useful and was very close to the apartment which overlooked the pool. Pool loungers were provided as was a beach umbrella, windbreak, cool bag, shopping bags and just about everything else!.Positioned less than 5 minutes easy walk to the river, ferry to the beach and plenty of bars and restaurants. I cannot recommend highly enough

A relaxing place to stay

A lovely well furnished apartment on a quiet street in a modern building with a pool that was located very well within walking distance to many amenities. Clearly well cared for and clean. Olga and her team are extremely responsive and accommodating property managers. Tavira is a beautiful place and this apartment is a great place to base your stay.

Great time in Tavira.

Great property: modern, well furnished and well located for all of Tavira’s amenities. Olga was very helpful and apartment was nice and clean. Welcome package was a nice touch. One suggestion: the bathroom needs a cabinet for toiletries etc. Also the TV didn’t work! We didn’t use the pool - it was too cool!

Très bel appartement, grand, beaucoup de rangements. Tel comme décrit dans l’annonce. Emplacement tranquille, près de tout: restaurants, épiceries, pharmacies, lunettes, endroit touristique, etc; tout se fait à pied. Ascenseur, stationnement souterrain, rien ne manque. Nous sommes arrivés tard et fatigués, il y avait de la nourriture pour nous dépanner (pain, lait, beurre, fruit…) nous l’avons très apprécié, cela nous a évité de sortir pour faire ces achats. Nous restons deux semaines supplémentaires. Â revenir sans hésiter.

Spacious and very clean!

My spouse and I stayed here with a friend who slept comfortably on the pullout sofa. With doors between each room there is lots of privacy. Rooms are a good size. Communication with owner was excellent right from the time of booking and check in process with Olga the caretaker was very was simple and straightforward. We loved the simplicity of Tavira after spending time in the cities. Excellent food, very friendly people and a great place to relax. Thank you Sylvia and Mike!!

Lovely apartment

Lovely apartment in a gated residential area. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need - great selection of cookware and utensils, tea, coffee, sugar, oil condiments etc. Spare bedding and pillows/duvets in the bedroom and cupboards in the hall held everything else you could think of. Sewing kit! Body lotion! A true home from home. We appreciated the secure garage parking as well. The balcony with chairs and loungers was a great place to relax with a glass of wine. Really enjoyed our stay

Just back from 9 night stay . The apartment is immaculate and the location is excellent. You don’t need a car as can walk to a variety of supermarkets and the local food market . The ferry boats to the beach are 5 minutes walk and the castle ruins the same . We took the train from Tavira Station which is walkable from the apartment to the border town of Vila real de San Antonio and hopped on the small ferry across to Ayamonte in Spain for the afternoon. Both towns lovely and half way over the river your watch goes forward 1 hour . We fell in love with quaint , beautiful Tavira with its pavement cafes/restaurants and gelato shops . We found the local residents very friendly. We will definitely be back .

The property was exactly as described on the website. Everything was very clean. Kitchen had everything you could need. There was lots of information provided about the apartment and the town. This apartment is perfect for a couple. Big windows on the front and back provided lots of daylight in the unit. Very well equipped for all your daily needs. The complex has the perfect location in Tavira for walking to all the local sights and services. Sylvia and Mike were easy to communicate with and great hosts. I would highly recommend this apartment for long tern winter stays!!

A great apartment!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was very well thought out with many extras included like things to take to the beach with you. The bed was extremely comfortable, it was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the location was perfect. We would certainly love to stay there again if we return to Tavira! There was a bit of an issue with the TV near the end of our stay that wasn’t able to be fixed while we were there but that didn’t deter from our enjoyment of the apartment.

Great location in downtown Tavira.

This property is within the old town of Tavira -- very walkable location. The apartment was as described and quite comfortable. A car would not necessarily be needed, but I had rented one, and the apartment building had underground parking which was great. There was a problem with the television (it wouldn't turn on) which was not fixed during my week-long stay, but I found lots to do without watching TV. However, if I had had a grandchild with me, no TV might have been an issue. Generally, this is a great property in a prime location.

Everything you need for a stay in Tavira

Not one problem! The apartment was in a great location within a few minutes walk to the river with cafes, restarants, stores and grocery store. The property was well maintained and we loved the landscaping and all the greenery in the courtyard as we sat on the balcony enjoying our morning coffee. Sylvia was great to deal with and very flexible when we asked to extend our stay an extra day. She got back to us quickly and offered a beautiful welcome basket upon our arrival. Check in/out process with Olga went smoothly. The apartment had lots of space, a lot of storage room for our luggage and clothes, a well equipped kitchen and the bed was super comfy. Tavira was a great jumping point to explore the area and buses and the train are about a 15 minute walk away. We got to visit both S. Antonio D. Real and took the 10 minute ferry over to Spain. The ferry to Ilha de Tavira ( the beach) was quick and easy and there were still plenty of restarants open on the beach to enjoy lunch. The beach is gorgeous and at this time of year only a handfull of people as you walk down the miles and miles of sand. Overall we had a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend staying at Sylvia's apartment.
