This listing should be removed from VRBO

This house is in an extremely dangerous neighborhood with mis-represented photos. The the back of the house was pitch dark, with no locked gate, and we couldn't find anyway to turn outside lights on. We tried to call owner to find out how to turn back exterior lights on, but they couldn't talk? We also had issues with the code working to get into the house (again, it was evening time) b/c they changed it more than once? The Police came out and told us we were in a VERY bad neighborhood where there is a lot of gang violence, including shootings and drugs. They recommended we not stay there. Additionally, one bathroom had serious water/mold damage, the pool was dirty and I took a drinking glass out of the cabinet that was dirty. They think black paint makes everything look nice; well, it doesn't, and they obviously do not want to invest and upgrade entire house. We vacated the next morning (arrived in the evening), as soon as we could, and found a much safer/nicer home for our remaining vacation time, which was another three nights. It was very inconvenient to move houses and the owners did not credit us the three nights we did not stay there. There were also no instructions at the home, nothing was labeled, ex - how to turn back exterior lights on. VERY bad experience and concerned for future guests safety. Do not stay here!!!

Photos bit deceiving

Prior to check in I attempted to reach out to property host and did not receive a response until day before/day of check-in . This was a little nerve racking and gave me some hesitation about the listing. Upon checking in it was apparent that the photos hide many of the areas of concern. Property had visible water damage to the roof, dirty walls, dirty towels, what looks to be mold in the bathroom and an attempt to paint over it, no washing machine accessible which I wish they did have, holes in the walls of all the rooms, hair in the main bathroom drain, hair on windowsill of living room, and the pans had old food on them. I did reach out and inform the property host of the many areas of concern. This could be an amazing property if maintain and upkeep were prioritized. My family was able to enjoy our stay with some personal cleaning and use of items we brought and bought ourselves. The layout is large and easily accommodated my family.

Tampa House Review

Excellent location for Busch Gardens. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint. The swimming pool was really dirty. The neighbor had the music blasting until after 2 am. Weren’t able to sleep. Had fun with the pool table though. Due to the great location, would consider staying again and hope those were all one time occurrences.

Clean, 4 Beds instead of 7

My first impression was the neighborhood. Some of my friends didn't feel comfortable staying there. Our Uber drivers confirmed our suspicions about the neighborhood. The host was super nice and took care of any issue that arose. The listing advertises 7 beds, but it's only 4 queens with a sofa. There was a mattress pad in one of the closets, but I would not consider that a bed.
