Very close to the island of Ortigia luxury independent apartment consisting of 1 double bedroom, 1 quadruple bedroom consisting of 1 double bed, 1 single bed, 1 cot, 1 room with sofa bed not completely independent (in this room there is the staircase leading to the upper floor), 1 bathroom with tub, 1 bathroom with shower, 1 laundry room with shower, 1 living room, 1 dining room, kitchen, furnished terrace. The apartment is equipped with all comforts: TV, air conditioning, dishes, iron and ironing board, microwave oven, fridge with freezer, washing machine, Wi-Fi internet connection, hairdryer. Nearby you will find bars, bakery, takeaways, pharmacy, post office, restaurants. A big advantage of the apartment is the free parking under the house (I specify that it is not a private parking) and the possibility of going to the sea while being in the city. You can reach the small beach in 5 minutes and a solarium with access to the sea which is located next to the beach and is free of charge.

The district
Santa Lucia (A Buggata in Syracuse) is the name of the second district and of what is considered the second historical district of Syracuse historically also called Borgata.
The neighborhood was built in the second half of the nineteenth century when the expansion of the urban development of the city to the north began. The name of the neighborhood derives from the formation of houses then inhabited by the emerging bourgeoisie which followed a checkerboard pattern.
The main monument in the neighborhood is the Church of Santa Lucia al Sepolcro outside the walls, in the square of the same name where the legend tells of the martyrdom of Santa Lucia (the second denomination of the district is explained), for this reason on December 13 of each year it becomes the epicenter of the Luciani celebrations, at the height of the long procession that started from the Duomo. The Simulacrum of the Patron Saint remains there for a week until the 20th of December.

A tour in the surroundings
On foot you can reach almost all the main monuments including: The Paolo Orsi museum and the Neapolis, as well as the Greek Theater, the Ear of Dionysus. You can take a walk or bike ride on one of the most beautiful cycle paths in Europe that runs alongside the sea. Just along the cycle path in the summer there are several solariums and in the evening there are night clubs. The historic center of Ortigia can be reached on foot or by boat (to be taken from the Sbarcadero area near the apartment).

Arrivals and departures
Arrivals will take place after h. 15.00 on the day scheduled for arrival, departures will take place by h. 10.00 on the day scheduled for departure.
Any changes to the arrival and departure times must be agreed in advance with the person in charge of the house and is subject to acceptance by the latter, and will be flexible compatibly with the needs of other incoming or outgoing customers.

The client is obliged to contact the property at least 2 days before arrival to define arrival time.

Order and cleanliness
Reinstall any furniture moved during the stay. Crockery and other household appliances must not be used or transported outside the home.
The house is delivered clean, tidy and in good condition, the customer must clean it, carefully placing the rubbish in the appropriate containers that are located on the street after 18:00 and until 22.
It is forbidden to smoke in the house, smokers are asked to use ashtrays, avoiding throwing cigarette butts on the floor, only throw toilet paper in the toilet.
The apartment is delivered clean, tidy and fully equipped; Customers must take care of: washing the crockery used, emptying the refrigerator of their food supplies and throwing out the trash.

Wonderful Stay!

The Lucie Apartment is beautifully decorated and located in a great neighborhood with locals enjoying coffee at a nearby cafe. Well equipped and nice welcoming touches and information. Lots of stairs, but everything is fresh and updated. Gianfranco was delightful and very easy to communicate with before and during our stay. Would highly recommend the Lucie Apartment!
