Morawel is a large recently decorated and refurbished holiday home.
It benefits from having been completely re furnished during 2018 to a very high standard
Morawel boasts extensive views towards the sea and the moorlands both of which can be reached in an easy 10 minute walk,
We are a pet friendly home but would ask that you keep them off the furniture and downstairs please
The property is set in its own extensive garden with a large patio area for relaxing, enjoying a BBQ and drink whilst taking in the breath taking views and sunshine. A new garden room and entertainment area has been completed in April 2021.There is a set of quality Hartman garden furniture that will easily seat 8 for alfresco dining. The patio also has power and lighting.
Rhossili has a pub within walking distance of the house, a National trust information centre and shop. The Bay Bistro and The Causeway cafe/restauraunts are close to the large car park and are popular with locals and tourists alike
Worms Head can be reached during low tide and you are in an area with several truly outstanding beaches and Rhossili has been voted one of the UK top 10 beaches.
Four bedrooms are located on the first floor along with two bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms also have large sinks installed. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, bedrooms 2 & 3 have twin beds and bedroom 4 has bunk beds. We have a high end comfortable bed/settee in the second living/play room for when there are 10 people
Downstairs is a very large kitchen dining room with oak furniture that can seat 10 people comfortably, There is a large utility room housing an American fridge/freezer with ice and filtered water. A newly fitted shower and bathroom with Villeroy and Boch ceramics is accessed via the utility.
The kitchen has a rangemaster oven and hob, Neff dishwasher, wine fridge and Siemens bean to cup coffee machine. There is plenty of cutlery and crockery to manage the 10 people that Morawel can sleep.
Off the kitchen is the sitting room with wood burning stove large window seat and TV with Freesat. There is also a further sitting or play room that has a double bed/settee and TV
Both sitting rooms are dual aspect
Morawel has high speed wireless internet connected as well as a Sonos sound system for your music pleasure

Very good holiday home!

This was the second time we’ve holidayed at Morawel. Gower peninsula is a stunning place to be, with uncommercialised beaches and settlements. A welcome change from the West Country, where my family grew up. You need to be organised, as it’s a long way to a supermarket! But that’s why it’s so lovely! The house works well for a big family holiday, and we loved the new table tennis play room.

holiday at Middleton

whilst it rained every day except the Tuesday we had overall we had a great time. You do need to be very physically able to get down to the beach. The house was great with plenty of nice touches. the only thing that would improve it is a Tumble drier as we found it difficult to dry our towels etc due to the rain and the heated towel rails not working if heating is off and even if you switch the 'Hive system on they do not work because the ambient temperature in the house is above its setting otherwise 'GREAT'

Great base for extended family group with dog

Easy booking and good communication with the owners, the house was roomy enough for people to find some space (3 bathrooms was great) but brought us together in the large kitchen diner and on the patio with the lovely furniture and views. The relaxing and sleeping areas were clean but a disappointing standard of cleanliness in the kitchen, particularly considering the additional cleaning charge and COVID 19 world we are living in. A great location, with beaches 15 mins walk and enough places to eat within 10 mins walk (though not in the evenings once the schools go back) and we were able to get a Tesco delivery too. Tired in place (eg lounge blinds only partially functioned) it could do with some additional bedroom furniture so you don’t have to live out of your bag/case all week and one of the twins being a zip and link to make it more welcoming for multiple couples).

Coopers stay

House could be cleaner and a bit of TLC is needed in many areas (dishwasher door, bedrooms need redecorating, more storage in bedrooms, etc) Some bedding was stained/dirty) Owners responded quickly regarding wifi problems but unfortunately we did not have wifi all week. The house is in a fabulous position with lovely views. Pictures on website show a Julliet balcony....but this room was shut off therefore photos on website are misleading. This was an expensive stay considering poor cleanliness, internet, and general TLC in bedrooms. No welcome pack...

Great place for a large family gathering

We have just got home from a wonderful family get-together over a long weekend at Morawel. The house is perfect for a big family gathering, very spacious, well equipped, well presented, and well positioned, with far reaching views down to the coast, or up to the moorland behind. The owner, Lesley, was always easily available, via the message site on Homeway's website, and we got a very fast response if we had any queries. The house is set back from a quiet lane with plenty of parking at the top of the drive. The short road walk down to Rhossili village and beach was fine for the five-year old, but perhaps tricky with a two-year old. Parking in the car park at the head of the beach is however without problems. The kids loved the large garden, and we all enjoyed the amazing 3-mile Rhossili beach. (We'd have liked better surf, but that can't be planned!) What a beautiful piece of UK coastline Gower is! We will want to return!
