Having two carts gives your group more flexibility too. Part of the family can head to the beach while someone else runs to Sandy Mart or grabs something to eat.

All golf cart drivers must be 25 or older, have a valid driver`s license, and follow Ocean Lakes Family Campground golf cart rules.

Ocean Lakes is currently making major improvements to Sandy Harbor.

The original indoor pool, outdoor pool, and Sandy Harbor Mini Golf closed September 8, 2026 for construction.

New facilities are planned to open around Memorial Day weekend 2027 and are expected to include:

Ocean Lakes is a complete vacation destination. The Sandy Harbor family fun center has the “Splash Zone” water park with slides and lazy river and game center that kids always love. The Nature Center can provide learning during your vacation. There are several playgrounds near the beach, an Olympic size outdoor swimming pool, an indoor swimming pool for year round enjoyment, a convenience store, Sandy’s Meet and Eat restaurant, the Sandy Harbor cafe, and the “snack shak” to grab a bite.

Ocean Lakes charges $15 per vehicle per day for parking. This must be paid directly to Ocean Lakes and is not included in our cost quote. Reservations made in advance can qualify for express check-in, save a few dollars and beat the lines on check-in day.

Ocean Lakes is perfect for a family vacation, away from the traffic and crowds, but still, a short drive to the wide variety of attractions, shopping, dining, and entertainment the Grand Strand has to offer.
