'Very nice...room was great. The only thing was the AC d I did not seem to get as cold as the temp i put it on and the hallway carpets were tereibly stained. It just looked awful. But other than that, it was great. '

'I gave The Courtland an "excellent" rating not because it is excellent in the same way I would rate a 5-star Hilton in downtown Portland, for instance. This is an historic building, in an historic part of Ft. Scott. It is run by ordinary folks and everything in that neighborhood is, well, historic (or old). So, it doesn't have glitz but it does have charm and it is peaceful. I would stay there again if I ever return to Ft. Scott. The owners are wonderful people. '
