DISAPOINTING

This property was advertised with great views. Unfortunately Construction trucks, equipment and materials were blocking much of the view due to the construction on a property next door. There were over 30 pickups, countless tractors and other heavy equipment all around and a six foot chain link fence across the whole view. Disappointing as I went for the view and quiet. I made the best of it. The Unit itself was perfect.

We were super happy with the condo. It was impeccably clean, roomy, had all the amenities we wanted, and it's a perfect location for the price. The bed was comfortable, a fan is available for the summer but the cool nights really do the trick. The village and gondola are just down the walkway. Walkable to the Botanical gardens and Downtown as well but Steamboat also has a free bus system by the condo. Would definitely stay here again.

Unbelievable property

My GF and I visited Steamboat for the weekend last fall where I surprised her with a proposal! It was already going to be a special weekend and our stay at this property was probably the best place I've ever booked outside of a nice hotel. This apartment has everything you need and it was extremely romantic watching the rain fall and wishing that it was a little colder and we could have watched feet of snow dropping. We arrived late and were able to get the keys from the drop box down the hill. We'll definitely be staying here again!

Very nice condo newly remodeled perfect for 2 but could accommodate 4.

Nicely appointed easy access, well organized and very clean! Only issue was our humidifier was not working and the management is replacing it. We loved our stay and seeing the color change of the leaves!!

The pictures for this condo are not accurate and the listing should be removed. There is MAJOR construction going on just outside the patio door with earth moving equipment racing through and dust everywhere as they are building a hotel. Lucky for us we were given another property for our stay. I am used to summer construction and related noises in the summer but this was over the top

Nice quiet stay in a beautiful area

I was very comfortable and enjoyed the quiet and serene location. Check in/out was a little different than I’m used to because it’s at a different location than the rental, but it wasn’t hard to figure out and there was great communication from Retreatia.

Overall, had a great stay. Nice little condo with easy access to the ski area as well as downtown and surrounding amenities. One item of note for other potential guests--the listing remarks that this is 'construction season.' To me, this means road work, etc. while the weather is nice. The reality is that a new set of residences is going up next door, and the construction access road is 50' from this unit's patio, so heavy machinery is going by all day beginning between 6am and 7am. It wasn't bad with the windows closed, but know that this will likely be another 18 months of heavy construction traffic, excavation and building.

Our stay was great

We really enjoyed this property. The property manager we met with was super accommodating (Lori?). We arrived early, and she kept us updated on the cleaning and allowed us to check in a couple of hours early when it was finished. The property is very nice. The only issue we had was with the excavation going on next to our unit. But that is definitely not something that could be controlled by Retreatia. We understand. We would highly recommend it.

Hard to beat this place.

Amazing location, amazing space, great amenities. The only drawback was the check in process. I don't think it was communicated that check-in is done off-site. It would be great to install a key pad or lock box. It would help with ease of coordination of transportation. There are additional docs to sign up on check-in that could be digital. But the space is fantastic. I'll look into rebooking if available and when I return to Steamboat.

From bad to worse

Reported unit to fire marshal for non-compliant entry door - 1" gap under door with no threshold or seals, which is a safety hazard (smoke/fire). Sewer water from upstairs unit leaking through bathroom ceiling numerous times during my stay. Maintenance could only leave a bucket to catch the stink water...still splattered on the floor around the toilet. Fake deadbolt in entry door. No way to secure entry door once inside except for push-button lock on door knob. No interior latch or chain...nothing. TV Dish receiver not working in living room, no remote for Dish receiver in bedroom. Screen door lock broken, so no security there. Random maintenance guy tried to enter...because there was no way to secure door from inside unit. Ill-fitting bed sheets constantly slipped off mattress. Bedroom door couldn't close all the way. Light bulbs burnt out in bathroom. Ice maker didn't work, but constantly made noise day & night. Oh, but it did have a gas fireplace...but based on the poor quality of maintenance I saw in the unit, there was no way I was going to turn it on. Oh, and I reported some of these issues to Vrbo, but their customer service only stated that they would "look into it".
