'Great place near ski lifts. Restaurants and bars all walking distance. Super friendly staff. Run by Australians. If you are looking for Japanese culture don’t go here. I would definitely recommend. For kids also great, lots of activities in the hotel. Small bar with good (western) food. Wifi is pretty bad! Super soft comfy beds. Bathrooms are not Japanese superclean, but acceptable. They have a shuttle bus to take you from station Nagano and back. '

'The team at Elan are amazing - super accommodating and helpful recommendations. The building is stocked with exactly what you need for skiing including a dry room, the guest rooms are big with comfortable big beds, and breakfast is ample/healthy to start the day. We’ve been to the Myoko area before and will 100% return back to Elan for our next trip. '

Je krijgt een welkomstdrankje, keurig afgemeten in een plastic glaasje ;-) Avondeten en ontbijt was in buffetvorm: kwaliteit en hoeveelheid was goed, heerlijk gegeten. De keuze in tijdstip om te eten was helaas beperkt. De prijs van drankjes lag hoger dan gemiddeld in Japan. Mooie en ruime kamer, een mooie mix tussen westerse en Japanse stijl. We hadden niet...

'Family of 5, booked 2 rooms with ensuites. Everything was great from the amenities to the food and helpful staff. The Ryokan is around a 300-500m walk from the ski lifts however they offer a shuttle service every morning. You can also reserve the shuttle at other times to head out to restaurants etc.'

The hotel itself is located in the centre of where all the action is, you're surrounded by some of the best restaurants in Akakura, so many hidden gems. The Akakura Onsen ski resort is basically across the road, you could throw a rock & hit it nearly. Next door is Myoko Snowsports for all your ski hire & Uchida Ski Sports is across the road who will do overnight board waxing as well as any other servicing needs. The...

'Nice location close to lift system. Good crowd of young seasonal staff running the house. The property has some good features, such as small onsen, ski and drying room. Bedroom was a little noisy due to an adjacent boiler switching on and off during the night.'

'Staff was friendly and working hard. Room was clean, comfortable and nicely updated… but they’re fighting an uphill battle against an aging run down building with apparently a long-broken elevator for 6 floors. Great price on difficult to find lodging in the area.'
