The staff was great at this property, but probably understaffed to run efficiently. The homeless population around the hotel is really bad, there is security present though. The downtown area is beautiful but all the sidewalks are littered because of the homeless population.
Valet parking was terribly unorganized. There were 10+ vehicles stacked up out front waiting to be parkedâŠat 7pmâŠnot right at check in. The room smelled absolutely foul. Especially the bathroom. The smell did not dissipate. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was minimal at best. The only reason I gave it two stars is due to the politeness of the staff, which was surprising due to the stress Iâm can only imagine they endure throughout the shift due to the area that the hotel is located. I've never stayed at a hotel, let alone a Hilton property that requires an armed security guard 24/7. It was truly a wild experience. Iâd have to say the cons of unsanitary conditions and potential crime highly outweigh the pros of decent price and being downtown.
My shower didn't work and I had no hot water for the bathroom sink either. By the second evening, after asking again, the shower was fixed except I had to run the water for ten minutes to get warm water. The breakfast had a lot of stuff, but it was very bland. The staff were mostly very nice and most of the hotel was very clean.
Very clean room and spacious. Studio room, dishwasher, plates, utensils, as well as, fridge, microwave and all bath necessities and hair dryer. air cond nice. Pet friendly. LGBTQ+ friendly. Highly recommend valet parking $55 per night, secured with in/out privileges. Hotel staff and security very welcoming! Recommend.
The parking issue will keep me from ever staying there again. It was pouring rain and cars were in the street and we couldnât get close to the actual building. My wife ran through ankle deep water and pouring rain to find out where we should park and to get a luggage cart. They told us to leave our car in the middle of the street and weâd have to carry our luggage as they didnât know where their luggage cart was. We were soaked and our luggage was soaked. A valet parking attendant stood in the vestibule and watched us struggle with our stuff and trying to open the door in the pouring rain. At check in they were unapologetic about having no luggage cart and certainly didnât try to help. The whole situation was infuriating. The room was mediocre and there was lukewarm water in the shower. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Definitely not a great place for the money. Breakfast was the only bright spot.
We enjoyed our stay! It had an amazing breakfast area. We didnt use the lobby area but it looked nice. I only had 1 complaint and they fixed it immediately. Would stay there again!
