  • POI PU ligt in Chocolate Hole, met een zuidelijke uitzicht op de Caribische Zee en is ideaal voor het gezin of koppels die samen reizen. De afgelegen locatie, omgeven door prachtige tropische bloem tuinen kunt u genieten van een zeer prive-vakantie. POI PU ligt op slechts 5 minuten van het centrum van Cruz Bay en zijn eclectische keuzes voor duty free winkelen en lekker eten. Een ander 10-15 minuten brengt u naar de wereldberoemde stranden aan de noordkust in de VI National Park.

    Bij binnenkomst van de villa wordt u met de open architectuur van de grote kamer, eethoek met zitplaatsen voor vier en een volledige keuken met alle functies en voorzieningen voor het bereiden van snacks tot volledige maaltijden. Het ontbijt teller biedt een ruimte voor gezelligheid met de kok terwijl de maaltijden worden bereid. De dubbele deuren uit de binnenkant eetzaal open voor het gangboord waar u een andere tafel om buiten te dineren te vinden voor zes personen met uitzicht op het prieel en het zwembad. Het gas BBQ grill is gelegen in de buurt voor het bereiden van hamburgers en hotdogs tot steaks en zeevruchten.

    Het openen van de drie dubbele deuren rond de omtrek van de villa zal bijna het dubbele van de gehele leefruimte met de toevoeging van de wrap around dekken met ligstoelen en casual zitplaatsen. De open balkenplafonds met elegante plafondventilatoren zal ervoor zorgen dat de koeling tropische passaatwind wind worden verspreid door de hele villa. Met de perimeter deuren te openen kunt u genieten van het indrukwekkend uitzicht op Chocolate Hole en de Caribische Zee vanuit de innerlijke comfort van de villa.

    De familie kamer heeft een flatscreen televisie met kabel-tv en dvd-speler en een audio-sound systeem dat ongedwongen entertainment in een ontspannen omgeving.

    Er zijn twee slaapkamers met airconditioning met queen bedden gelegen op het hoogste niveau. De bedden zijn elk gehuld met elegante klamboe en voorzien van een plafondventilator boven de bedden. Elke slaapkamer heeft een aangrenzende half bad en delen een grote en indrukwekkende inheemse steen douche met dubbele douchekoppen. De derde slaapkamer bevindt zich in een grote zolder en is voorzien van een queen size bed en smaakvol ingerichte ongedwongen zitje met tv en dvd-speler.

We had the most amazing time staying at this property! It had a wonderful view, the deck was great for hanging out as well as the hammock and the pool for relaxing. Not having potable water was not an issue for us - we just picked up 2 jugs on our way in and it lasted the whole time. All the amenities were great. The open doors created a lovely cross breeze. My teenage girls loved sleeping in the loft and the adults enjoyed the bedrooms with AC. The garden/landscaping was serene.

Perfect location

We stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The house had everything we needed and we especially loved the large deck with lots of seating. Would stay again.

We had a great time at Poi Pu! The location is close to Cruz Bay so it’s close to the grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and the ferry. It’s also only a 15-20 minute drive to most of the beaches. Even though you’re close to Cruz Bay, it was really quiet at night. The house was perfect for my family of 4. The bottom two bedrooms have AC. The loft doesn’t but there were two fans on the floor and the overhead fan for air movement. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook several meals at the house. The pool was a great plus for us to use after a day at the beach.

Great accommodations for our family of 6. The 3 and 7yr olds loved the pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at PoiPu and would definitely stay there again.

Jackie did a good job getting back to us and giving us useful information. This place is set up nicely with beautiful views and in a great location to get to many places. The place could use some updates on some things and was told new doors were going to be put on in a few months, which will be really nice. The couch did have stains on it, but we just put down some towels. It's probably not the easiest getting furniture to the island.

Great stay on St John’s

4 adult friends stayed here. Plenty of room and house could easily accommodate additional guests. Great views and amenities. Loved having use of the beach chairs, great patio deck, kitchen and sleeping areas.

Island life

We recently stayed at Poi Pu in St. John and had a blast. The property was adorable and had a nice pool that overlooks chocolate hole, what a view! One of the best days we had was just grilling some burgers by the pool. We stayed with another couple and the two rooms were perfect. Very short drive to town and the beaches. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Perfect Fit!

We enjoyed our recent stay at Poi Pu. The home is ideal for families and is in a great location. The hammock was the perfect spot for an afternoon nap! Views were incredible and the location is ideal for Cruz Bay and the surrounding beaches in that area. The home was clean and comfortable. The property manager and owner were very responsive and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend this perfect home!

The place is just as listed. We did note some aging issues such as the door handle and the shower but other then that we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Great location and spectacular views! Loved the hammock and plunge pool, then relaxing in the shade. A/C in two of the bedrooms worked well. Space enough for the five of us to spread out and relax — quiet and calm. Very peaceful. One item to note: Host informed us after arriving that the water isn’t potable — only suitable for showering and washing dishes. Also not advertised were requested water-saving restrictions (selective toilet flushing and navy showers). Would have preferred to know that in advance, and to be provided at least a couple gallons of water as a starter before having to run to the grocery.

Amazing View

We had a wonderful time on St John. This property has a beautiful view and outdoor space and is less than 10 minutes drive to town. The layout of the house is great with two private bedrooms connected by a jack and jill bathroom plus a loft. The kitchen and bathroom are getting a little dated but function just fine. The owner and host were great to work with and very responsive.

I have stayed on St. John several times and Poi Pu is my favorite villa yet! It has a swiss family robinson tree house vibe. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was welcome but the loft had a nice breeze such that our friend who stayed there had no problem sleeping comfortable underneath blankets. The setup is wonderful and the shower is so cool! You feel like you are under the sea! Our daughters adored the pool. The sunrise and sunset views from the wraparound porch were picturesque and we all loved hanging on the hammock with a good book in the mornings and afternoons. The location is super convenient to the amenities of cruz bay while also feeling like you are in a secluded tropical paradise. The owner was incredibly helpful and communicative during our stay and check in was an absolute breeze. I will 100% be returning to Poi Pu for our next trip to paradise!

Quiet and Comfortable

This is a great spot for a family or two couples. Small but well appointed with a fantastic outdoor space and great views. The pool was great with small kids and the hammock gets shade pretty much the whole day. Only a few minutes drive from Cruz Bay but far enough away to be quiet and secluded. There were beach chairs and some toys as well as a cooler to use which was fantastic. While we had a small issue with the water turning off, it was handled promptly and communication was excellent throughout the arrival and the rest of the week when we needed anything.

Awesome views

Jackie was a great host. Answered all our questions almost immediately. We had a major storm blow through and had some minor issues she addressed. The house is well laid out and perfectly located. 5 mins drive to Cruz Bay. Beautiful views of Chocolate Hole. We did very little cooking, but the kitchen looked well stocked. I totally recommend Pui Po.

great vacay

We had an awesome time in St. John, and. Poi Pu villa was in a great location. Only 5 mins to Cruz Bay, we explored all the surrounding neighborhoods on foot, gaining beautiful vantage points of the island around every corner. A few days of our week stay (July) were incredibly hot so the dipping pool and rooms with AC were key. We learned to time our outings with the scheduled power outages in the PMs. We couldn’t quite figure out how to keep the open air living and kitchen mosquito free, but came close! Many many memories for years to come, hope to be back again some day!!

The property was clean and had a great deck with amazing views. The location was great- far enough from the traffic in Cruz Bay, but close enough that it took less than 10 minutes to get to restaurants, the grocery store, etc. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. Communication with the host was good and she was very responsive. However, communication with the property manager wasn’t great- the directions to get there were not accurate based on where we were coming from and it took several calls and us driving around and around to figure out where to go. The front door stuck badly and took multiple tries to open and close. There was only AC in the two bedrooms and loft got really hot, so our son had to move downstairs and share the other bedroom. The couch in the living room was stained and very uncomfortable. Also, be aware that there is only 1 shower for the whole house- we didn’t realize this as the listing showed 2 bathrooms. There were two shower heads in said shower, but only one of them would allow hot water to come out. And due to the fact that there is only AC in the bedrooms, the bathrooms were very stuffy and hot. Lack of central AC may be the case for most houses in St. John, but as this was our first time there, I can’t say for sure.

Wonderful Place in Chocolate Hole

Myself and 4 others stayed at this property near Chocolate hole. It was great!!!! The house had a great pool, hammock, large deck overlooking Chocolate hole and the Salt ponds, and far enough off the road there was no sounds but that of the island birds. You can walk to both the beach at Chocolate Hole and the Westin within about 10 minutes. No neighbors made for some great privacy. The owner and property manager are SUPER responsive and thorough. We did not rent a vehicle and just used island taxis. We would walk to/from the Westin to grab a taxi and it worked great for us. Two separate bathrooms and three bedrooms gave people their privacy when they wanted it. I highly recommend this property and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Jackie and Terri for making our stay so great!

Our stay at Poi Pu was amazing. As beach lover's, Saint John is the most beautiful place on Earth. (In our opinion anyway.) Our favorite "restaurant" was staying in, grilling steak and veggies, sitting on the deck looking over our view of Saint John, with a dip in the pool to cool off. Amazing! While no ac in the house except the bedrooms, we learned quickly how to "work" the house to keep it as cool as possible, as well as how to keep the bugs at bay. Our 2 weeks flew by so fast, and is now a memory that we will never forget. I have so many pictures of the stunning landscape around the house as well as all the little chicks, birds and hummingbirds, but didnt get the iguana as he was to quick. So, if you are a stuffy, AC hotel type this might not work for you, however, if you want a secluded, peaceful, unbelievable beauty, nature inspired, relaxful vacation, this IS the spot!

Stunning Views

This is a beautiful, well-stocked house with incredible views from the wrap around deck. You really don't want to leave after having breakfast outdoors while viewing the Caribbean. We were very happy with the quality of the furnishings and maintenance of the house. Two things to consider: 1) The house is only five minutes from Cruz Bay but you MUST have a car to get around. Keep in mind that you will be driving on the left side (former Danish colony) on narrow, winding, extremely steep roads, often all at once. It is not for the faint of heart. 2) We were surprised to hear upon our arrival that the tap water is not potable and can only be used for bathing and doing dishes. However, we were informed that Love City Ice in Cruz Bay sells 1 gallon jugs for $2 and refills for $1. There is also a 24 hour water dispensing machine in the Provisions parking lot for 60 cents per gallon. We incorporated that in our daily routine and it didn't materially interfere with our vacation.
