'La Pentera heeft ons erg verrast. Wij waren de aller eerste gasten welke mochten verblijven in het gloed nieuwe hotel. Bij aankomst werden wij ontvangen met een kokosnoot met een rietje en een brede glimlach. Wij hadden de boomhut gekozen als verblijfplaats. Deze is echt prachtig. Als verwelkoming kregen wij een rondvaart in een traditionele kano over het naastgelegen meer. Op en rond het meer hebben wij de meest uitzonderlijke vogels gespot en zelf apen gezien. 'Location - I am a regular guest at this property. It’s a bit of a heaven , utterly relaxing, surrounded by nature. The quality of my sleep always improves when staying at the property. The hosts, Supipi and Uthpala are super hosts. The meals are mostly made by Supipi herself and of course delicious. This time stayed for 6 days, could have easily stayed longer. Will definitely return.'

'This was an experience like no other, an amazing location. These are eco-lodges, so they are basic, if you want 5* luxury this isn't for you, but you'd be missing out. The views are amazing, sitting on the balcony looking out to the lake in the distance. Everything is taken care of, you have torches and umbrellas. You are so far from anyone else it is lovely and quiet (apart from the wildlife!) We always had hot water from the solar panels. The bathroom was clean but basic. Food was great,...

'The hotel is situated in Habarana which is near to all the cultural locations. The lodges are rather dark and midscale, not what you expect from a 4+ star rated hotel. The staf is friendly but not that fast in the restaurant. Not too many alternatives nearby. '

'Lovely old bungalow. The butler service we had was exceptional. It’s cold at night so fires in rooms & hot water bottles in bed at night. Food really good. They don’t have a drink license so happy to serve your own. I just recommend you keep your gin in your room rather in their fridge. '

'Toted as being one of the most remote hotels in SL the hotel did not disappoint. Fabulous location and well run for such a remote site. You certainly got a sense of the rainforest by the time you got there. Our container was comfortable and the bar and dinning rooms spacious. As vegetarians we were a little bored with curry and rice yet again but it was nice not to have to face another buffet dinner as dinner was served to you. My only qualm was that it took an hour 15 mins to cover the...

'Monkey's and birds were great...room was average. Could stand to clean construction debris from below the room. Beautiful environment around Ella...waaaay over developed! Alot of price gouging going on. I have no desire to return there. Thailand or Cambodia are much better deals from my experiences over the years.'

'You are surrounded by nature, birds, animals, everywhere you look. The staff is very friendly, funny, and the service is excellent. The property is lush and gorgeous. Its a magical place! But, the facilities are close to 10 years old, and being that close to nature has its «downsides», if you are not REALLY into it. Even so, we loved our time there. Tip: order the local dishes on the menu;)'

'Detta är ett skitställe där dom har photo choppat bilder på rum och byggnad. Jag har bara sett värre en gång i Bangkok för 9 år sedan.. vilseledande marknadsföring i sin prakt.. antingen rum mot havet utan toalett och kylskåp eller något.. eller rum med en brötande AC ..sladdar hängande överallt och INGA fönster . Stannade där i 40 minuter. Trots förbetalt utan Återbetalning. '

'De kamer is in orde en heel mooi uitzicht vanuit de kamer. De service was teleurstellend, net zoals de faciliteiten buiten de kamer. Zwak ontbijt. Tip voor mensen die komen: ‘s avonds moet je voor 21h binnen het hotel zijn, er is geen alcohol en enkel wifi aan de receptie.'

'När vi kon fram så fanns vår bokning inte. Vi fick istället ett mindre rum till det tredubbla priset. För övrigt mysigt hotell nen bra service men toaletterna fungerade ej och samma sak efter rumbyte.'

'Great location for visiting sigiriya, but despite coming up as "Dambulla" on the map, it's about a 20 minute drive from there. Busses to Dambulla run from the end of the road and are quite regular. The rooms are basic but nice enough. Our room was not dirty but not spotlessly clean either. It had a private patio which was perfect for relaxing.
