Comfortable and cozy two bed one bath cabin nestled in the Kiamichi Mountains

The Country Road Cottage is located in the rural Kiamichi Mountains in southeast Oklahoma. The view from this cabin includes beautiful sunsets, colorful foliage(during the season), and breathtaking mountain contours.

It is equipped with all the essentials that make your stay as comfortable as being at home. You will have an outdoor grill, electric stove top and oven, toaster, crock pot, various pots and pans and dishes and eating utensils. You just need to decide what meals you want to make!

With two bedrooms that have queen size beds, you can plan a romantic escape or a fun trip with family and friends! We also now have a queen size pull out couch in the living room!There is an outdoor fire pit, and we supply the firewood! There is a bathroom, easily accessible by both bedrooms, that is equipped with a standing shower.

This cabin also has access to the nearby game room that is equipped with a log burning fireplace, pool table, ping pong table, dart board, and card table. It has shared access with another cabin. Let the competition begin!

This cabin is one of three cabins that are close in proximity yet far enough away to still be private. We welcome group stays in all three cabins and offer a group rate discount! Bring everyone!

You can grab a seat around the fire place, compete in the game room, lounge in a chair on the deck, or take a walk if you need to stretch your legs. Let the Country Road Cottage bring you to a place you can call home away from home!

Great cabin in the woods!

We just spent a couple of nights in this cabin. The cabin was clean and well-maintained. My favorite part was the back porch with the comfortable chairs. This was a great place to relax!

Great Location Away from the City

Very peaceful and the gameroom was a hit with the kids. Stateparks and fishing nearby with 15-40 minutes. The cabin was clean and firepit was awesome to jang out at night with firewood provided. My only recommendation os to print or save the check-in instructions to your phone prior to arrival. No Wifi made it difficult to access the cabin. That being said it was a wonderful stay that I would recommend.

Clean Cabin in a Great Location

We rented this for a family weekend getaway. The cabin was very clean and well stocked, it exceeded our expectations. There are three Cabins in close proximity here and an outbuilidng with a shared game room, so it would make a great location for a few families to get away. Cabins are up a steep dirt road, our minivan made it fine no problems. Nice wooded area away from the main road. We loved that it is only 30 minutes from Queen Wilhelmina State Park in Arkansas. October seems to be stick bug season here, they were everywhere outside. We will stay here again if we are up this way.

Cozy and quiet

We had a great stay here! Our host was amazing and answered quickly on inquiries we had. It is very off the grid and quite a climb up a very windy and somewhat steep road. We did not get to enjoy the outside fire pit with burn ban, and I am pretty sure we came in the middle of walking stick migratory season! They were everywhere! But we took it in stride and really enjoyed the areas' hiking options!

Great Secluded Getaway

The cabin was cozy and clean set in a perfect secluded area. However, the price that is quoted does not reflect the actual price. After all of the small fees that were added, the cost was about one hundred dollars a day higher. I did love the cabin though and would recommend it for a weekend getaway.

Nice Getaway

We loved our stay at this cabin and Olivia was super responsive in answering all of our questions. The cabin is definitely high up in the mountains which makes for a beautiful drive. When you arrive you come up to the back of the home and as you walk-in it feels like home and with all the Christmas decorations. We brought things from home like foil, tongs, etc, but they literally had everything even firewood to burn in the firepit. All you need is to make sure you bring food as the closest grocery store is like 45 minutes away and gas station is 20 minutes. We did run into a emergency with my son's car and Olivia and her husband were so willing to help us. I cannot thank them enough! Great hosts and just great people! Thank you again!!!!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

Beautiful cabin in Ouchita National Forest. It was even decorated for Christmas. Loved the location. Great if you want to totally unplug. No TV WiFi or cell service but had lots of games outdoor fire pit and trails to hike.

Great secluded cabin

If you want internet and satellite tv this is not the place for you BUT if you want to get away from the world and have some downtime in nature then this is it! We enjoyed our weekend getaway so much. Cabin was clean and well equipped. Only suggestions would be the TV has no remote, bring dvds you like if you want to watch dvds (video library may not be to all tastes), better lighting for signs to find the cabin because arriving after dark is super challenging to find it (add fog, cuz you are on a mountain, and it’s difficult to find), instructions for the fireplace would be helpful, and game room needs new ping pong balls. Host Olivia was super responsive to our questions. Would for sure stay here again when in the area.

The cabin was adorable. Contact free check-in and check-out. It had everything you might need and was extremely clean. If you are looking for a place to get away from the rat race, this is the place. The game room was a nice treat. I highly recommend checking it out.

Really enjoyed our peaceful long weekend stay in such a secluded accommodation which was dog-friendly! Enjoyed the gas fireplace, easy to use kitchen and comfy beds and sofas! Excellent host with great communication even when a road closure made us 3 hours late! Highly recommend!

PERFECT!

My sister and I went for my birthday weekend. A few miles before Smithville we ran into snow (coming from Beaver Bend area) that we were not expecting. Less than an inch, but coming from Dallas, that is a lot! There was no one else on the mountain so we were able to turn the music up and dance all over the cabin and had a great time. The view is amazing and it was just like staying in a house vs that hotel feel. The owners were very response to our every question. It was cold so we did not get to use the game room because it would have taken forever to heat it up using the wood burning fire place, but we still had a great time. You couldnt find a better place to hide during a pandemic.

Great Rustic Cabin

It was perfect for relaxing and unwinding. But having the clubhouse with ping pong, pool table, etc. made it fun too. We especially appreciated the Christmas tree, Christmas decorations and Christmas music. The dogs may have had the most fun of all.
