'Great place to take the family and visit the nearby beaches. Head and Popham are within 15 minutes. We were booked in a Lighthouse room that had the view of the water blocked by trees and management was very helpful switching us to a better room.'

'Spinney's is over 160 years old but they have upgraded with mini splits for air conditioning and heating. The staff were very attentive. Our room was on the second floor with nice views but you need to be able to do stairs.'

'Reasonably clean property but there seemed to be a lot of corners being cut. Checked in at around 10:30 pm after a long cross country flight. There were no sheets on the sofa bed or the comforter pack in either of the two rooms we booked, so we dealt with that. Next morning went in for a shower and the shampoo was all empty - nothing at all. Went downstairs and there were no glasses for water. Overall it is a clean property but has a lot of quality issues in their service. And the staff...

'The hotel is badly in need of an update. Sad empty rooms with very old outdated furniture. The hotel is clean but tired. I also object to spending over $600.00 for a two night stay and there being no housekeeping service unless requested. Even if requested the service is minimal unless you are there for four nights. I was very disappointed.'

'Excellent location. Right across street from the train station. Easy walk to downtown restaurants and quaint shops. Gorgeous outdoor space with fire pit. Several places to sit and relax or play games in the lobby or on the covered porch. Staff was extremely friendly and available. Rooms were immaculate and had all amenities needed.'

'The property was clean and in good condition. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was spacious; Bedroom with 2 queen beds a little tight for 3 adults. Staff was friendly & helpful. Breakfast person left hand written positive messages on each breakfast table that brightened my day. Breakfast had good options and hot foods were prepared well. Would stay again!'
