  • Stel in een rustige dorpse omgeving langs de Dales Way in Upper Wharfedale, en op loopafstand van de prachtige Dales-dorpen Appletreewick, Burnsall en Grassington .. Begane grond:

Deze halfvrijstaande voormalige schuur ligt in het Yorkshire Dales National Park en is zorgvuldig omgebouwd en is nu een uitstekend pand. Smaakvol omgebouwd, combineert karakter en charme en is zorgvuldig gecoördineerd samen met alle moderne gemakken van het hedendaagse leven. Het is centraal gelegen in het dorp en op loopafstand van de plaatselijke pub. Het is een ideaal huis om de Yorkshire Dales te wandelen, fietsen of te verkennen. Het nabijgelegen Grassington staat bekend om het Dickensiaanse festival rond Kerstmis en het Summer Arts Festival waar beroemde bands, acteurs en dichters worden gespeeld. Studley Royal, een eigendom van National Trust, ligt op ongeveer 16 km afstand en het beroemde kuuroord Harrogate ligt op 22 km afstand, waar u een breed scala aan individuele winkels vindt, samen met alle beroemde winkelketens. Neem de tijd voor een afternoon tea in Betty's Tea Room, of een goede afternoon tea wordt geserveerd in de Devonshire Arms in Bolton Abbey. Het marktstadje Skipton met zijn brede brede hoofdstraat, samen met boottochten langs het kanaal, een overdekt zwembad en een golfbaan ligt op slechts 17 km. Winkel, pub en restaurant 50 meter.

This cottage is excellent in every way. It is very clean, well presented and in the perfect location for great walks The welcome pack is second to none. We are more than happy to recommend to all. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. It was very peaceful and quiet, with every facility you could need. The lovely Welcome Pack was a great touch. We loved our walks along the river - down by Barden bridge and Aplletreewick was our favourite, and handy to have two great pubs there to finish. All the local food was great and everyone was friendly. We hope to return some day, as there is plenty more on the doorstep to discover. Thanks!

Having stayed at many cottages over the years, this has got to be one of the very best.

Having stayed at many cottages over the years, this has got to be one of the very best. It’s immaculately clean, very spacious, warm and comfortable with everything you need plus more. The beds and linen are excellent, kitchen fully equipped and living room large and welcoming. Even got a decent sky system!The welcome pack is the best we’ve had, normally you get some milk and bread if your lucky, this is a big step up. The area is beautiful even in mid winter with walks from the door and towns like Skipton and Ilkley not far away. I wish all holiday rental owners took as much pride in their property as Alison and Mark obviously do. Highly recommended

Perfect cottage for family holiday

The cottage was better than expected, in fact the on line pictures don't do it justice. Week equipped, clean and functional. Owners provided a cot. Area is lovely, good for walking and the Dales Way. A visit to the School House Tea Shop is well worth a visit.

Have stayed at Flatts Barn before and will definitely be staying again in the future. Perfectly located on the outskirts of Grassington village. The level of attention to detail is 5* and the hosts could not have been more welcoming. Even if the weather isn't great - it doesn't matter as it was a joy to stay in such a beautiful cottage - the images really do not do it justice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Flatts Barn, the cottage is lovely and very clean.

We really enjoyed our stay at Flatts Barn, the cottage is lovely and very clean. The owner is lovely and kindly left a welcome pack which went down very well with all members of the family. We had great weather so spent a lot of time out in the garden which was perfect for the children to play in. The location is great, we enjoyed the walk down the river into Grassington and would also recommend a visit to the Stump Cross Caverns which is only a short drive away.

This is a really beautiful and spacious house, presented in a spotlessly clean condition, the photos

This is a really beautiful and spacious house, presented in a spotlessly clean condition, the photos don’t really do it justice, everything has been finished to a high standard. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the owners thoughtfully provided a welcome pack with milk, bread, butter, wine, beer etc. We were lucky with the weather so the car stayed parked up, we walked to Grassington and Burnsall amongst other places and we enjoyed sitting in the garden. There is a big lawn so we were able to play outside with our grandchildren when the family came for the weekend. The nearby pub is extremely friendly and the food is very good, we ate there most nights. Regarding the next door haulage yard, there was nothing to disturb us at all, it wasn’t a problem. Alison the owner was lovely and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be going back

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Flatts Barn.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Flatts Barn. It is equipped and appointed to a very high standard and we really felt like we were staying in a true luxury property. The bed was really comfortable, the bathrooms lovely and the lounge a delight. We visited during some very warm weather, but it was easy to imagine how cosy the lounge could be in the winter with the log burner in full flow. The cottage is also in a great location from which to explore the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic week at Flatt's Barn (4 adults and 2 children).

We had a fantastic week at Flatt's Barn (4 adults and 2 children). Plenty to do within easy distance and some lovely walks locally along the river. The house is beautiful, cleanliness and decoration are outstanding. We have fallen in love with the area and will most certainly be back soon and back to Flatt's Barn.
