« Lovely quirky guest house, steeped in military history, great location, fabulous breakfast cooked fresh to order by friendly and welcoming chef. Relaxed public areas, spacious rooms with great sea view. »

« Upon arrival, we discovered that our room had two single beds pushed together rather than the double bed advertised. Given the record-breaking temperatures over the bank holiday, the climate in the room was exceptionally hot. We discovered that one of the radiators was on full blast and with no control valve to turn it off. With no air conditioning we were forced to open the windows. However, our room was located directly above the hotel kitchen and it's extractor fan which was extremely loud...

« Great space and location. Had a couple of issues with water temperature in one shower being too hot and not adjustable. House also needed a better cleaning. Lots of cobwebs and spiders. »

« Radiator not working so room was cold, tap on bath rattling and water spurting out took ages to fill bath. Shared room with a dozen ladybirds..canteen downstairs never open. Unlocked and unsafe left luggage hall.i came fownstairs a few times about radiator in the night and noonf on reception rang number on desk but it wasnt regonised. Reception not manned at all times.. the room was big and lovely and location good. »

« The receptionist didn’t acknowledge me as I approached the desk to check in as she was busy checking her phone. When she finally realised I was there she made me feel like it was a hassle to serve me and she couldn’t wait for me to leave. A polite enquiry about the time for breakfast was met with a roll of the eyes. The staff in the bar/restaurant weren’t much better. It was busy to be fair but they made me feel far from welcome. « This property is maintained to a very high standard and extremely comfortable. The icing on the cake is watching the sunrise over the sea each morning. Quiet and secluded. I enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay. »
