Nestled on 80 picturesque acres at the edge of Hiawatha National Forest, our spacious 5,000 sq ft retreat is an ideal getaway for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. With direct trail access for snowmobiling and ATVing right from the property, you’ll find endless opportunities for adventure in every season. Plus, you’re just 1.8 miles from the Bear Trap Inn Bar and Restaurant, 6 miles from the Miner's Castle Trailhead, and near the stunning Pictured Rocks National Shoreline.

Convenient Shopping: For your convenience, there's a unique grocery store called Wright Grocery approximately 4 miles from the house. This charming local, family owned store offers a variety of supplies to help you stock up for your stay and experience the local flavor.

5 Bedrooms & 4 Bathrooms: Comfortably accommodating up to 24 max guests, our well-appointed home features a massive master suite with a king bed and an en-suite bathroom, while four additional bedrooms (all with easy bathroom access) ensure everyone enjoys privacy and comfort. The fifth bedroom, located in the downstairs area, offers three queen beds (two in bunk bed style) and ample space for relaxation.

Expansive Living Spaces: The heart of the home is a large, open-concept kitchen and living room, perfect for family gatherings. The newly added 2,000 sq ft Rec Room includes a stylish bar, additional living space, and a cozy TV area for movie nights.


Outdoor Enjoyment Year-Round: In the warmer months, explore the lush grounds, enjoy the fire pit under the stars, or take leisurely walks in the woods to spot birds and wildlife. During chilly fall evenings or summer nights, curl up by the wood-burning fireplace or enjoy the warmth of our heated mudroom equipped with a pellet stove.

I can't say enough good about this rental. The host was great. The location is amazing, very secluded. Right on the snowmobile trail, close to Pictured Rocks and Munising. I have never stayed at a rental that was so well stocked, everything you could need. Kitchen had paper plates, ziplocks, spices, and so much more. Beds are very comfortable. The bar area downstairs is outstanding. Dish Network TVs (3), hi speed internet, and good cell phone service. Thank you!!!

The home is beautiful and as described. Wonderful communication with owner. Plenty of room for extended family. The weather wasn’t great so, instead, we had a wonderful time playing the games shared by the owner. Would definitely book again if in the area.

We had good communication with Lisa. She sends several things outside of VRBO for the rental from a rental agency and it does not show up through VRBO. Check your SPAM and keep your emails for coorespondence.It felt excessive when both parties are protected through VRBO with a fee.The place was exactly as described. It had all the things we needed for our group of 8 adults over 60. The location is very private with a wooded lot and perfectly located to all things Munising.Their mudroom area off the garage was fantastic! A great place for gear and coolers away from the main living area. Perfect for winter activities for sure.We would recommend this place to a larger group, but warn people of high cleaning fees, extra charges over 8 people and a pretty late check in and early checkout for a rental.

My family stayed in a few rental properties on our first trip to the UP and this one "won" the vacation. Great kitchen/amenities, and everything we needed.Very dark @ night, very quiet, very private, very responsive hosts. Would book again in heartbeat.Only negative was Canadian wildfire smoke moved in the same day we did, otherwise the star-gazing here would be phenomenal.

Family adventures

This house was very nice and had everything we needed for our family of 10. It had a nice basement that was used for family fun. The upstairs living room was also big enough for a movie night for all of us. It was set up in a secluded section of woods, centrally located to several towns along the coast of Lake Superior. Our family was able to explore a lot of what the U.P. has to offer and still not be too far from the house. We did have a water issue after a big storm. Lisa was easy to connect with and had the issue resolved the next day. It did not dampen or trip at all. Overall, it was a very nice house in a convenient location. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Nice place but be prepared…

The place was very nice. However. The owners were not fun to communicate with. My daughter was getting married and I asked if other people could visit that were also staying in the area. My request was for a few hours at a time. They absolutely would not let one person come to the rental unless they Paige 149 more per person that day. Seems ridiculous when you’re talking about a few hours. The place I stayed at let all of my family visit when they wanted. As long as nobody slept there. The owner messaged me on the VRBO ap the day after we got there to check on things. Then when I didn’t answer that (was extremely busy with wedding itinerary’s). Then she texted me asking me on Monday asking how it was going? She was asking about my daughter’s wedding and what time it was and such. I’ve stayed at probably 2 dozen or more VRBO,s and not one of them messaged me during my stay. To me… I’ve rented your home and during that time our privacy should be honored. Then she texted the day of ck out and told me that the cleaning team would be there at 10am. This was the day after my daughter’s wedding. Obviously people staying there was going to celebrate! Well needless to say everything was cleaned out and everyone packed up and ready to leave by 10 am.However… the cleaning people literally showed up at 9:50 am! To me that was intimidating that they had cleaning people there before we even checked out?The owner made this stay very uncomfortable. For this reason I don’t recommend!

Over all great placeSnow plowing was done at 5am right up next to the house with a very loud bobcat/skid steer Was also woke up by text message at 5am to have vehicles moved that where plenty far away from barn(I took pictures) no where did it say no to park by barn witch we stayed plenty far back not what I expected on vacation Sewage pump in basement stop working and we where accused of flushing something that we didn’t They had a plumber come out 2 days into the stay to make the repairs Also nothing plugged in pump just stopped working Overall was still a very good trip and a nice place

Perfect family getaway

This home was all we could have hoped for! This was one of the cleanest and well equiped homes we have ever stayed in. It very easily fit our 11 family members with a great communal area in the kitchen/living room and the amazing backyard/fire pit. It was the perfect launch point to all the Pictured Rocks destinations and an easy drive into Munising. The hosts are amazing, providing asistance when needed and great communication throughout our stay. We definitely would love to return and continue exploring the area. The you adults in our group's only requst was some yard games to truly utilize the amazing space. Definitely not a deal breaker though.

The place was just as described, it was remote, close to trails, plenty of room for the 17 of us. It was also close to food in three different directions to give us choices. We had never put our whole group under one roof like this, but the house worked out great! The Blackstone grill was perfect for all of us, would definitely look at it again in the future. Thanks.

Amazing place! Will stay again!

WOW!! First of all the house was beautiful! It was extremely clean, the decorations were gorgeous and I cannot believe how well stocked the house was (from spices to dishes and bedding). Even the appliances were top of the line! I have stayed at many VRBO’s and this is by far the nicest and most well stocked I have stayed at. We had a group of 11 friends and we could have easily fit more. There was ample space for truck and trailer parking which is a huge plus. This was a fall color tour trip with our sxs’s and it was a bonus to be able to leave right from the house with not trailering to a trail head. Our group is already planning our next stay at this rental property hopefully this winter for a snowmobiling trip. And for those snowmobiling the entry way is HUGE perfect for all the gear! Our entire group agrees we would recommend to all our family and friends!
