  • A large and impressive building steeped in history, Shanklin Manor is located on the outskirts of Shanklin Old Village and within easy reach of all the amenities and the beach, making it a fabulous holiday destination. The house was first mentioned in the doomsday book back in 1086 and Over the years, there have been a number of historical figures that have visited the manor in its various guises.



    A wide sweeping drive leads off the main road, past the duck pond and into the private estate with beautiful communal lawned gardens to the front of the house. Accessed from a communal entrance, entry to the apartment is on the ground floor where you will find the kitchen and living areas, the two bedrooms are located on the lower ground floor.

    PLEASE NOTE ESSENTIAL EXTERNAL HIGH LEVEL PAINTING WORKS ARE TAKING PLACE IN THE VACINITY OF THIS APARTMENT BETWEEN 18 MAY 2026-23 JUNE 2026 REQUIRING SCAFFOLDING.     The sitting/dining-room is a wonderfully spacious room with high ceilings and double doors opening out onto the patio-area. Sitting at the outdoor table and chairs you could enjoy your morning coffee here admiring the lovely surroundings. With large comfortable sofas in the living area and a wall-mounted Smart television, it is a perfect spot to enjoy a film and a glass of wine at the end of a day at the beach. The separate kitchen is also of a very good size and has a breakfast-bar for flexible dining options, very well-equipped with all the storage and space you could need. The building retains a lot of its original features with large windows making the whole apartment very light and welcoming.



    The two bedrooms on the lower ground floor, a twin and a double, are tastefully decorated; there's an en suite shower-room to the main bedroom and a separate family bathroom with bath and fitted shower. This property would be a great place for a family or two couples, with the luxury of a bathroom each. There are patio doors opening from each bedroom to a partially covered courtyard area, external stairs from here lead back to the car park area. There is a designated parking space to the front of the apartment

    LOCATION:



    Old Shanklin town is within a 10 minute walk, with various pubs and restaurants and Shanklin Theatre, Also there's Shanklin Chine with waterfalls streams and rare plants.



    The main town can be reached in fifteen minutes and offers a multitude of shops cafes, bars and restaurants to entertain all ages and tastes. It is well served by public transport with regular bus services to reach all parts of the Island and the railway 'Island Line' to Sandown and Ryde.



    The extensive sandy beach at Shanklin is a 15 minute walk away and there is a lift during the main season. There's a variety of amusements, including crazy golf, arcades and ice cream stalls.



    Within easy reach of the apartment are an abundance of footpaths, for walks through woodland and the surrounding countryside. Alternatively, hop on a bike from the local bike hire and peddle along the 32 miles that make up the Red Squirrel cycle path, part of which follows the old steam railway line



    Over half this beautiful island is protected as an Area of Outstanding Nature Beauty, so why not take a day to explore some of the stunning scenery by driving along the Military Road. Travel west from Shanklin, through Ventnor, a coastal town that clings to the cliff side and was famously the preferred holiday destination for aspiring Victorians; perhaps stopping on route to get lost in the peaceful Ventnor Botanic Gardens. The final destination being Freshwater Bay, with its sparkly, clear water and breath-taking views from the cliff top walks. Park in the Bay and walk up to Tennyson's monument and to really blow the cobwebs out, continue to the most western point of the island and the landmark Needles. The birds eye view is worth the hike and refreshments are on hand at the Old Battery, which was the Victorian coastal defence and secret rocket testing site, perched above The Needles. Dropping down the other side of the Tennyson down, Alum Bay comes into view. The twenty-one different coloured sands create a distinctive backdrop for the shingle beach. For those with a head for heights, take the chairlift up and down to the beach, to see The Needles from a difference perspective.



    Out of the many other island attractions, why not follow in the footsteps of Queen Victoria and visit her favourite summer residence. Osborne House and gardens was designed in the style of an Italian Renaissance palazzo by the Queen’s beloved husband Prince Albert. In contrast, a day spent at Blackgang Chine will ensure you a rather different Victorian experience; having opened in 1843, it remains the oldest themed attraction in the UK.

From the moment we stepped thru the door, we were super impressed with layout, spacious clean everything to hand for a wonderful holiday! Can't say enough how happy we were. lovely clean and quite place with excellent facilities and furnishings nd so so much room e couldn't believe how much space there was here the help we had booking the ferry and the help booking was great the arrival booking portal was good but a tad confusing at first having never used it the new booking in booking out portal was a little confusing to use at first especially as it wasn't made clear that you need to check out on the portal to get the key safe PIN number maybe the key safe number should also be duplicated on a email once you have arrived and the booking out instructions using a different subject name so that booking emails and information dont get grouped togther

Loved our stay!

Shanklin Manor was the most perfect accommodation for our visit to the Isle of Wight. Spacious, well-appointed and beautifully situated, it provided our party of four adults with a convenient and most comfortable base for our stay. The Island Holiday Company were helpful and responsive from our first enquiry till the end of our visit. I can highly recommend them as well as the Manor for anyone visiting the Isle of Wight. Very little! The only two minor matters are the hand shower in the bath needs adjusting and a decent sized cafetière to serve 4 people should be provided.

Fantastic and beautiful Shanklin Manor!

Very impressive building inside and out. Quality interior fittings through out, modern design complementing the tradional design. Huge lounge/dining area is a fantastic space to relax! All areas very well designed and the outdoor lower patio area was a private and sunny spot. Also very good for towel drying after beach days. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a top quality apartment surrounded by beautiful gardens and woodland trails. The only thing that would have improved our stay was checkout time. A little later say 11am would be just right, having made the most of our last night.

A very happy stay

We were delighted with the property. Very light, spacious and well equipped. In an excellent location, being within easy walking distance to Shanklin old town and also the esplanade at the lower level by the sea. Plenty of places to eat and drink. We were never too far from anywhere on the island and enjoyed visiting many of the attractions. Always lovely to go back to the tranquility of the property and watch the many rabbits on the lawn. There were no tea towels on arrival and we were short of one hand towel. One quick telephone call to the office had this resolved immediately.

Had an amazing time at this beautiful property, in a picturesque setting, its clean, spacious, everything you need for a relaxing comfortable holiday! Central for visiting all the I.O.W has to offer, or just a short scenic walk into Shanklin village, its our 2nd time here & we'll definitely return! X
