Hotel bij tol-station
Na ontvangst sleutel kregen wij een kamer waarvan de gordijnen niet dicht konden en bovendien half aan de gordijnrail hingen. In eerste instantie was er weinig bereidheid dit op te lossen, maar na aandringen hebben we een andere kamer gekregen. De verduisteringsgordijnen zijn te kort waardoor er licht onderdoor komt. Kamer is niet echt schoon en de kussens en bedden veel te hard voor het comfort wat wij zoeken. Douchen in bad is niet handig en helemaal niet als je met je benen de lange hendel om de kraan te bedienen steeds aanraakt. Hierdoor verspringt de temperatuur constant. Er is een elektrisch apparaatje aanwezig om muggen te verdrijven, maar ondanks dat hadden wij toch last hiervan. Het aircosysteem wordt uitgezet, blijft deze toch aan en daardoor ook de hele nacht draaien. Al met al een hotel dat wij niet zullen aanbevelen.

We're sorry to read this negative comment. The blackout curtains are covering us in the totality of the window. Usually if a problem is reported it is immediately resolved or the room is changed. In any case, we regret that you did not appreciate our structure. Best regards

heel goed alleen staan er veel bussen op het parkeer ruimte zouden een aparte plaats moeten hebben

Struttura dentro un’area di sosta accanto ad una uscita dell’autostrada ma fuori dalla stessa. Parcheggio ampio e protetto da sbarra (quindi non possono rubare la macchina). Hotel sicuramente datato e con segni dei suoi passati anni ad esempio sulle porte(dove é ancora evidente la presenza della vecchia serratura a chiave). Corridoi un poco claustrofobici (finestroni solo in alto) ma stanze ampie, pulite ed accoglienti. Bagno efficiente e pulito. Check in e check out veloci. Colazione con molti prodotti salati ma pochi dolci. (Ad esempio avrei gradito qualche torta fresca). Qualche cartello per chi non proviene dall’autostrada renderebbe più facile trovare la struttura.

Aktuell ist es eher ein 2-Sterne Hotel. Es ist in den 80ern stehen geblieben und wurde seither nicht erneuert. Farbe blättert ab, Teppiche haben Flecken, die Einrichtung ist ebenso alt. Die Bilder und die 4-Sterne täuschen. Zum Glück waren das Bad und Bett sauber, für eine Nacht war es daher akzeptabel.

Posizione comoda per chi vuole stare sull’autostrada. La pulizia delle camere lascia un po a desiderare. Reception che necessiterebbe di qualche persona in piu ad accogliere i clienti per evitare lunghe attese per i check in.

Just went because we need a quick spot to sleep on our way to Rome. Had arrived almost 4 am after my booking. I had checked with hotels details indicating that checking time is from 3pm to 5:30am. This was important since we were road tripping through Italy and needed the flexibility. When we arrived the clerk argued with us that check out was cancelled at 12am, that they informed Expedia to confirm cancellation. I didn’t received any notification and had to provide proof in their Expedia page confirming what I said. He finally let us get a room. All we needed was a shower and rest to get back on the road. Good news, continental breakfast is included. Bad news the bathroom had mold and the shower drain clogged. It caused the bathroom to flood and some went to the bedroom area. Spent the better part of an hour cleaning it up. Only stay from 4:30am to 8:30am. Would not do it again. Rating is very misleading.

Très bon hôtel aux portes de florence
Bel hôtel a l'entrée de florence . Le restaurant est très correct. Hôtel propre , accueil agréable, personnel très sympathique. Très bon rapport qualité prix . Les chambres confortables , serviettes et ménage fait tout les jours . Bouteille d' eau tout les jours dans le frigo . Petit déjeuner copieux , Nous y avons passés 3 nuits 4 jours , en famille . Pratique pour rejoindre le centre historique par le tram . La station de tram guidoni est a 3 min en voiture . Se garer sur le parking 1 e la journée

We booked this hotel since we wanted a spot close to highway and the hotel offered free parking in its premises. Location - very close to highway, so easy to go in and out of Florence. We drove to Michael Angelo sunset viewpoint with ease. However, the hotel is in industrial area away from city. There is tram stop nearby, if you wish to go to city. Hotel room - we booked 1 room with 4 beds. We got room on 5th floor. Lifts are extremely small. However, we were taken aback by the spacious room and amazing mountain and city views. Negative - mosquitos in the room, so carry sprays. Hotel staff - found the person who checked us in extremely rude. We had 4 big bags and she denied that we couldnt use the bigger lift. The customer lifts were super tiny. One of the other staff members overheard us and decided to help us out. Breakfast - pretty goof for the price we paid.

Please do not look at the photos at all! The hotel is old and has been left for a long time without any care. The hotel is located about half an hour by car from Florence, and you need to take a taxi to the city. There is no bus or train! Each way, you need to pay about 35 to 40 euros. The breakfast is not something to compare with a 2-star hotel. I have no idea why this hotel received a 4-star ranking! the most important part is the cost of going and back to the hotel from Florence.

All we needed
Our two night stay at The Gate Hotel was a base for us to go to see Florence but enable us to park our rental car safely and conveniently. We had the feeling this hotel is often used by tour groups which came late and left early. We learnt the best way in to Florence was to park our car at the airport 4km away, and costs €1 then hop on the tram into the city centre €1.70. Our stay was comfortable, but breakfast was slightly disappointing, and a bit chaotic after the groups had just left. The location didn’t bother us but it’s not picturesque. For us we just needed a clean comfortable room and a safe car park.

Aweful!!!! This is not a 4 stars hotel. It was not clean. If you travel with kids don’t go there if you know what I mean. At 7 am we waited for the elevator 30 min we were almost late for the tour we booked. My husband came downstairs using the stairs to ask for help because we were on the 8th floor with 2 large luggages. The lady told us it was normal because they have 2 elevators for 2 people only fitting inside. This is the worse experience of my life.
