Extremely Disappointed. Not worth the extra money.
They gave me a room with the dirtiest water I've ever seen. It was completely brown and the towels turned brown when drying my hands. When I complained, they told me they were aware of the issue so why was that room not removed from the system? The next room they gave me had no hot water in the morning. The beach is full of stray dogs and the staff kept giving them water so surely they'll not leave. They wanted to charge me €60 euros (!!!) for the airport transfer when the usual price is no more than €20 for a 25 mins drive. Also they charge for room service even though their restaurant takes ages to prepare the food. Housekeeping lacks attention to details too: no toilet paper and water and towels replaced irregularly. Given the price they charge for their rooms is extremely high as it's marketed as a high level resort, these things shouldn't happen. It's extremely disappointing. On the plus side, the room is clean. I will certainly not be back and pay the extra money for this disappointing service.

I believe the issue of us being aware of the brown water was a misunderstanding as we did not know and now that we are aware, we have ordered new tanks for replacement. Airport transfer has always been 60 euros at the Hotel and this is charged to all Guests on request. taxis outside would definitely be cheaper as the standards are different. Room service charge is a standard proceedure in all hotels. once again we apologise for the inconvenience and hope to have you back.kind regards

Flott opphold, veldig kaldt basseng. Pass på å be om rom på solsiden og ikke i skyggen om du har swim up rom. God service på frokost gjengen. Matmessig savner jeg et mer klart restaurant konsept.

Trevligt hotell på stranden.
Trevlig vistelse på ett bra hotell. Inte riktigt samma förståelse för gästens behov som i Europa, t ex. hade vi svårt att få rätt antal handdukar mm. Maten OK men ingen variation. Skulle gärna åka hit igen.

Kritik an ﹰﹰﹰexpedia. Als wir imﹰﹰHotel ankamen, mussten wir leider feststellen, dass wir unser, bei ﹰExpedia gebuchtes swim up Zimmer nicht bekommen sollten. Uns wurde ein normales ﹰDoppelzimmer, die im ersten Stock liegen, angeboten. Leider mussten wir feststellen, dass Expedia unser gebuchtes swim up Zimmer nicht an das Hotel weitergegeben hatte. ?? Erst nach ﹰDiskussion mit der Rezeption haben wir das ﹰZimmer bekommen, was wir auch bezahlt hattenﹰ. Das Hotelﹰﹰ wusste schlichtweg nichts von unserer ﹰswim up Buchung. Vielleicht könnte sich EXPEDIA ﹰdazu mal äussern. Ansonsten war der ﹰAufenthalt sehr schön, nettes und sehr hilfsbereites ﹰPersonal, sauberer ﹰStrand und ruhig. Keine lästige ﹰAnimation. Allerdings das ﹰFrühstück hat sehr vielﹰLuft nach oben. Das Buffet sehr überschaubar u. ﹰﹰtäglich das gleiche.

We chose this property because of the swim up pool and that was very nice indeed. However we are accustomed of clorinated water and our pool was not also our pumps were also not working to circulate the water either. The property is beautiful though the rooms need to be updated. However, the most unfortunate part of our stay was the dining experience. While the servers are excellent and very attentive I was served undercooked chicken for lunch and my wife got food poisoning from breakfast (we think it was the bacon, that was the only thing I did not have and in retrospect it did not look very fresh). For both incidents we received a very friendly apology. We did not ask as it is not our custom but would recommend that the hotel offer a better response to such incidents, like some type of compensation.

Always we take our guests feedbacks very constructively as those are source and tools for continuous improvements and endorsements of our commitment to meet and exceed the expectations of our value guests.It was unfortunate that you were patronize for few hours in a deluxe room the size and facilities with the room type you booked, only pool being the difference. The hotel is agreed to pay the difference in price between the 2 in addition to the dinner offered and free upgrade to your next visit as you are frequent visitor to us.from the time of your first arrival to the hotel and every moment we had a pleasant rapport with you and it is wondrous that you fount our restaurant food was poor after this visit. Also it is a little misjudgment about the C-in and door lock fixed time. I guaranteed that our dedicated staff have done prompt responds with regards to the said matters.Thank you for giving us the entire please and privilege of serving you.Looking forward you to returning if at all possible. Skuffende opphold.
Fint hotell og fine rom. På service siden har de en jobb å gjøre. Ved ankomst hadde de klarte å rote bort vår bestilling, ble derfor nødt til å vente en stund. Etter ca. 1 time fikk vi tildelt et rom som var en nedgradering av hva vi hadde bestilt både når det kommer til standard/størrelse/plassering men også pris. I tillegg var ikke det aktuelle rommet klargjort da det manglet både håndkær, såpe og toalettpapir. Dagen etter fikk vi det rommet vi haddet bestilt, desverre hadde vi også litt problemer med dette romet da romlåsen ikke fungerte. De brukte ca. 8 timer på å fikset opp i dette. Vi forslo tidlig at vi kunne bytte til et annet rom, men det var ikke aktuelt. Forsøkte å komme i dialog med front desk manager og htoellsjefen for å få refundert mellomlegget på rommet vi fikk tildelt første natt og hva vi hadde bestilt. Dette viste seg å være umulig - ingen vilje til å løse problemet. Det ble etterhvert tilbudt gratis måltid i restauranten dagen før vår avreise. Verdien på dette var ikke nærheten av det mellomlegget skulle være. I forhold til maten har restauranten desverre veldig dårlig mat, og ikke mat som står i stil med hotellets stil. Ved vask av rom så er du heldig om de legger igjen nye håndkler. Samtlge dager tok de alle håndklene i forbindelse med vask av rom, og etterlatte seg IKKE nye håndkler. Vi måtte da ta kontakt med resepsjonen for at dette skulle løse seg.

Bra rom dårlig mat.
Fantastisk opphold, rommene er fine spesielt swimup rommet. Rommet hadde kun såpe. Håndkler etc til en person. Litt kjedelige når man er to som sjekker inn. Frokosten er utmerket og god service blant personalet. Middag anbefaler jeg ikke på hotellet, dårlig mat og dårlig service.

My experience at this hotel was very nice. I arrived very late at night and the staff has been waiting for my arrival, with pleasant smile and easy check-in i was ushered in to my room. Clean room , environment, restaurant and the staffs were very nice.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und wir empfehlen es definitiv weiter. Wir waren schon 4 Mal in Gambia und davor immer im Kairaba Beach Hotel, welches sehr abgewohnt ist. Dieses Hotel ist dagegen sehr modern. Die Zimmer ( wir hatten ein swim up Zimmer) sind sehr geräumig, mit sehr viel Staumöglichkeiten, einem grossen Badezimmer mit einer begehbaren Dusche. Die Betten waren sehr gut. Hervorragend war die Sauberkeit in den Zimmern und in der gesamten Anlage. Das gesamte Personal ist äußerst freundlich und bemüht. Ausser einigen wenigen Mitarbeiter der Rezeption. Aber das ist zu vernachlässigen. Einzig beim Frühstück ist noch Luft nach oben. Internet gibt es in der ganzen Anlage bis zum Strand. Die Pools sind extrem sauber. Aber ich, als Schwimmerin konnte wegen des Wasser, welches mit Chemikalien versetzt waren, die stark meine Augen angegriffen haben, darin nicht schwimmen. Auf Nachfragen, konnte keine plausible Erklärung gegeben werden. Es wurde von Chlor gesprochen. Was sonst noch im Wasser ist, konnte mir nicht beantwortet werden. Fazit: nach unserer Meinung eines der besten Hotels in Gambia. Absolute Buchungsempfehlung.

The room was clean but the air-conditioning needs service. The place is secure but on the beach you have to deal with the overly friendly guys proposing horse rides, juice, telling you to support the locals and not listen to what the hotel told you. The hotel says nothing about the beach vendors by the way. But for a peaceful and restful stay with a clean beach and gentle sea-this hotel does the job. The breakfast could do with some creativity but again the few things they do are good. So less is more. The restaurant is 7-8/10 but they are a little slow so order ahead, go for a walk and your food will be ready. Alternatively, check out the Italian resto in front of the hotel. Pool is clean with ample space for laps and faces the ocean. Great after a long day of driving and negotiating to get on the ferry to Banjul. Btw, for the ferry, buy a ticket for your car and your passenger and calmly rebuff offers to bump you up in the queue unless you are in a hurry and then wait for the Gambian charm.

Good location, very clean, friendly staff
Very good service but it was low season (I was there for work) so not everything was open and the menu at the restaurant was restricted. Most of the staff were lovely and helpful. A power cut on my first night from a thunderstorm was acknowledged but not really addressed until I insisted on moving rooms because my air con really didn't work properly. Signs round the pools when they are being cleaned to indicate how long you cannot use them for would be helpful. My room was excellent and very clean, the swim-up rooms are lovely. Very good location (I was working in Banjul city centre) and staff helped with arranging taxis and buying water.
