  • Ons Hanok-pension bevindt zich naast het Kyoungbok-Gung-paleis, Insadng, en naast een van de beste middelbare scholen, de Joongang-middelbare school, in het centrum van Seoul, waar een beroemd Koreaans drama stond, Winter Sonata.

    Ons Koreaanse traditionele huis is nieuw ingericht. We zijn trots op de rust en comfortabele sfeer van ons pension. De kamers en badkamers zijn schoon en netjes.

    Het huis heeft elk seizoen zijn eigen schoonheid en gemak, vooral de zonneschijn die het huis helder houdt, en luxueuze deuren die de kamers warm maken in de winter. We zijn klaar om onze gasten te verwelkomen in ons pension.

    We hebben drie kamers en twee badkamers en een keuken, gezellige woonkamer in het huis.
    - Je huurt een heel huis
    - We raden 5 of minder aan als een ideaal aantal gasten om te verblijven (omdat het drie kamers is)

    WiFi is gratis,
    Mini-oven en elektronische theepot, koelkast zijn geïnstalleerd in de tuin.

Traditional house

Our family of 3 adults enjoyed our stay in the traditional hanok house in Seoul. It is located in a quieter oart of Bukchon village and is very clise to 2 main palaces and other main attraction in Seoul. Quaters are cosy and have all necessary amenities for comfortable stay. Communication with owner is very efficient and easy.

Fantastic Stay in Traditional Home

My family and I stayed here for two nights. This hanok is lovely! The property is well maintained and the host, Hadoo, was great at communicating what we needed (how to get in, garbage pickup details, et al). The hanok is near local grocery shopping, not terribly far from the subway, and there's a park close by. We really enjoyed our time here and know others will too!

Perfect Hanok stay.

A beautiful traditional Hanok with modern facilities. Suited us perfectly. The location was amazing near a number of must see attractions. We are a short family so the small bathrooms were no problem, but if you’re tall going to the loo might be a bit of a squeeze. The host was really helpful and communicated in English which was super helpful. Many thanks.

Authentic stay in lovely neighborhood

Nice traditionell hanok with well equipped kitchen. Nice gesture, bottelrf water and instant soup were provided. Bedrooms comfortable, bathrooms rather small, challenging for taller people. Very cool neighborhood with coffee shops, restaurants and small shops. Subway a few minutes Wald away

Authentic experience

I didn’t travel halfway around the world just to stay in a hotel. The location is stellar. It’s quiet at night but with many shops, cafes, and restaurants within a short walking distance. The only caution I would give is that this house is probably not best suited for larger/taller people. Mr. Todaki was a wonderful host.

Perfect taste of Seoul

We absolutely loved this little gem of a home! Loved the traditional feel. Everything we needed was there. Loved the simplicity, the quietness of the street, just the overall feel! If we are ever lucky enough to return to Seoul we will 100% stay here again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, we were so blessed to have stayed here. The place was great. If you want to live a few days a real Korean traditional experience in Seoul, this is a great place to stay. The communication with the landlord was fantastic. I always got answers in no time. The area around is itself a village tourists visit and it is close to one of the 5 traditional Old Korean palaces to visit. I strongly recommend Giorgio

It was a unique stay experience. Booked sometime ago, wasnt aware the kitchen was hidden away behind a sliding door. Could have been left ajar alittle as new comers wont realise. Well provided for. Great to have had sufficient water for drinking, thank you. Pillows way too soft could improve on quality and provide 2per person. Bathroom tile can be fixed, laundry area could be neater. Thank you for umbrellas provided, came in handy!

K Town

Great neighborhood with lots of shopping and food nearby. Three of us stayed here for five nights and had a great time exploring Seoul. My only complaint with our stay is that this rental is pretty awkward to get from room to room with odd steps and it’s definitely built for short people. Two of us are 6’3” and spent our time bent over when we moved around. Also the toilets are so close to the wall in front that we had to sit sideways. But it was all part of the experience of staying in the village and we had a great time.

Very Pleasant Stay @ Todaki Residence

My hubby and I had a wonderful stay @ Todaki Residence for 6 nights from 6 Aug to 12 Aug 24. From the start of our booking, Mr. Hadoo was very prompt and responsive to our queries. The residence was fully equipped with all things that you need in a cosy home. Mr. Hadoo was very kind to arrange for a free taxi transfer to Gimpo Domestic Airport for both myself and hubby when I informed him that there will only be 2 guests instead of 3 guests staying at the residence. Would definitely come back to stay in Todaki Residence and recommend to friends and family. FM: foreveronthegoh

Loved it

Lovely home in a lovely area. Kids thought it was cool staying in a traditional home. Nice area to walk around and through. Lots of little shops to explore, and right by the palace. A bit of a jog to the nearest metro entry, used taxis more often than not, which as there were 4 of us worked out to be not much difference over subway fare anyway. There is open screen roof section over the plants, which would let in mosquitos at night, but we just kept the bedroom doors closed and it wasn’t an issue. Each room had their own seperate adjustable a/c unit which blew as cold as you need, Hosts were lovely, helped us arrange transport and provided help in directing us to a clinic to help my wife who ended up fracturing her shoulder on the last day of our trip. The clinic was perfect, did everything they could, spoke English, and were cheap. Would stay here again.

Wonderful slice of history and culture

This house was such a warm memory of our trip to Seoul. It opens right onto a quaint and beautiful street, it's bright and warm, with a comfortable kitchen and three bedrooms with their own air conditioning units. We loved sitting in our bedroom doorways talking with each other at the end of each day. The house is within walking distance of many attractions and historic areas, and we were able to experience life in a local residential area with high schoolers walking to school in the mornings, and produce trucks stopping to sell veggies on the street out front.There are three individual bedrooms, each opening out into the courtyard, which is mostly covered and enclosed but partially open to the elements. There is a queen bed in one room, two twin beds in one room, and a single twin in the third room. We were very comfortable and were sad to leave this magical place.Our host was quick to respond and we had no issues at all. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Todaki House, Hadoo! We loved everything.

This is the perfect place to stay with a small group who would like to experience the full feeling of a traditional korean hanok with modern amenities. There is a view of the Namsem tower in the distace. The streets are quiet and empty until about 10 am so it is very peaceful. Many shops and eateries are within a 3 to 15 minute walk. One palace is about a 15 minute walk and the other about 35 minutes. We did Ubers most places as it was easy, direct and could pick up and drop off directly in front of the guest house. A washer -dryer combo is there as well as laundry detergent. Rooms were very clean,, Air conditioning was needed a few times and it was very efficient. I must say the host was excellent. Answering any questions we had and immediately bringing us an alternative to down - which I had forgotten to ask for previously. The host helped translate a conversation from a friends brother who lives near Seoul so we could connect. A Daebak experience. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse to any kdrama fan as you live the experince!!!

Highly recommended!

The location of the property is close to Bukchon Village and many other local attractions. The owner is friendly and very helpful with the reservations of the property, transportations and sightseeing suggestions. The location also has easy access to stores, restaurants and shopping centers. I highly recommend the property.

It is a wee bit small for 4 adults but we managed very well. Badoo was very helpful. He left us a generous supply of bottled water as well as other supplies. We take away some lovely memories.

We loved staying in this traditional hanok in Bukchon Village. The location is perfect, since it's walking distance to many of the sights, and is surrounded by restaurants, interesting shops and artists' galleries. The semi-open courtyard with the rooms coming off of it worked well for our family of 4. The rooms were small, but there was enough space for everyone, and we had fun eating breakfast all together in the courtyard. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for showers. It was great to have a full kitchen, a washing machine, and the air conditioning kept us cool even on the hottest days. Hadoo is an incredibly polite and gracious host, and responded immediately when we contacted him with questions or for advice. He very kindly offered to drive us to the subway station on our departure, because it was raining. He is thoughtful, attentive, and caring. We will gladly stay at his place again on our return to Seoul. Many thanks for such a lovely stay Hadoo!

Such a different experience than we’ve ever had. So unique. Host was easy to work with. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Excellent in floor heating. Loved having the washing machine since we were traveling so much. Very hot water for the showers. Really appreciated having 2 full baths. Great neighborhood with lots of coffee houses, restaurants, shopping. Bus runs right in front of the house. Subway a few minutes walk away. Courtyard in the middle of the bedrooms was big enough for the 4 of us but we didn’t eat any meals at the house, just coffee. You’ll need to take steps into and out of each of the rooms so take your time and watch your head. Again very unique lodging experience we would recommend if you’ve never stayed at a hanok.
