'This hotel with a history offers great surroundings near Saranac lake, spacious, modern and clean family rooms, and friendly staff for a reasonable price. During our 3 week trip in July through north east of USA and Canada we planned to stay here for 2 nights but decided to stay an extra night. We were very lucky with the weather ( 75 -82 F) but heard the winter period lasts long and is tough.'

'The room was simple and clean. Kate was super friendly and was always available if we needed anything. We went during off season, so the hotel was updating, and the town had limited dining options. It is less than a mile away from the Wild Center which is walkable, so very convenient.'

'We were in town for a hockey tournament and it was a perfect place to stay so we didn't have to eat every meal out. We were in and out for games and didn't have any issues. The host let us check in an hour early so we could unpack before our first game. Overall great experience--would stay here again next year.'

'My spouse and I stayed at the loft over Memorial Day weekend and it was a perfect fit for us. We hiked 6 high peaks in 3 days and my sister-in-law joined us for 2 of them. The loft was clean and quiet and we loved the trail to the swimming area. Whitney is a great host and pro-active with communication. Highly recommend!'

'We enjoyed staying in this small but perfect size cabin for my husband and teen son. Our friends stayed in the cabin next door with their family. The location was close to the main street, which is a quaint Adirondack town with nice restaurants. It's 20 minutes north of Lake Placid and 10 minutes from all kinds of winter activities. We will definitely definitely be back.'
