The apartment is situated in the heart of the charming alpine hamlet of Grange Sises, above Sestriere (a 5-minute drive) in northwestern Italy. Grange Sises is ideal for families with children, it is largely pedestrian and hosts many events throughout the year, from festivals, environmental initiatives and cultural evenings to concerts and group mountain bike rides.

There are many restaurants and bars in Grange Sises and Sestriere, to suit all tastes and budgets, and for self-catering, Sestriere has supermarkets and smaller shops selling local specialities. The closest restaurant is an 8-minute walk away.

Vibrant Sestriere hosted the Winter Olympics in 2006, and in the winter months, it offers slopes to suit skiers and snowboarders of all levels. There is also cross-country skiing, heli-skiing, ice skating, motor sledging, dog sledging, snowshoeing and even an outdoor swimming pool (heated) which is open all year round. For sightseeing, the renowned Cesana Torinese ski resort is only 10 minutes away by car. In the Summer, visitors can go hiking through the forests and alpine meadows. There are also numerous tracks for mountain biking at all levels, as well as tennis, golf and swimming in Lake Sestriere, which is approximately a 10-minute drive away.
