Do not recommend this place to anyone . '

'The place was perfect for what we needed. The house is ideal for a couple and 2 kids. We only needed one room but the place has everything you could want for a long stay. The host was great and has thought of everything you might be looking for while visiting the town of Portsoy. On my next visit I'll definitely check back in to see if it's available.'

'Lovely hotel, fantastic staff , shame about the weather .'

'Super hotel. Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Grote, nette en hygienisch perfecte kamer. Het hotel restaurant serveert fantastische maaltijden.De accommodatie is heel rustig gelegen met ruime parkeermogelijkheden.'

'Older hotel and it shows. It’s a small town though and it’s what I expected. The glorious view from our room was worth it though.'

'Throughly enjoyed our stay, everything in the welcome pack we needed and more! Will definitely be back. '

'Hotel zit in een oude molen. Wel oud, maar goed onderhouden en leuke atmosfeer. Heel ruime kamer en goed eten.'

'Great location overviewing the town and great sea view. The room was what you expect for the price. I had a single room with half on-suite, which means shower in the room, but toilet in the hall. That was good enough for me, but people may want to have more privacy. Room could do with a renovation. Staff was super friendly and helpfull and the full Scottish breakfast can't be beaten. And the sea view makes it even better. All in all a great deal for a quaint hotel. I would certainly come...

'

'Phenomenal stay at the Sail Loft. I stayed a few nights after the Kadampa meditation retreat and absolutely loved my stay. The location is excellent, amazing walking opportunities and the beach is a 30 second walk from the front door! You can get whatever you need from the coop in town. The place is well heated and all cooking and cleaning amenities are provided. Place was spotless on entry and had everything I needed. Amazing price too 10/10 & I’ll be back soon'

'Beautiful, uninterrupted view of the sea. House was contemporary, clean, well furnished with good amenities. Lovely area of Scotland. '

'Room nothing like the photos. Broken sky light with no blind. Wall paper peeling off. Filthy carpets, stained and very very unpleasant. Checked out after being there for 1/2 hour and just got " sorry". I have stayed in some unpleasant places but this was frankly disgusting . Waste of money, no refund offered'

'What a lovely cottage very clean and tidy absolutely loved it. Would highly recommend it . Very lovely village quiet and picturesque next to fishing port lovely walks down by the sea and a great fish and chip shop'

'It was really special to experience a fisherman’s cottage in a genuine fishing village. Could not have been better than in the home of Cullen Skink. As you would imagine it’s very compact and very homely. It was lovely to listen to the ocean at night and see all the bird life. You aren’t very far from the ocean even if you’re not in the front row. It’s clean, warm and comfortable. Could do with a cheese grater.'
