Lakeside Sorrento is right on the St Georges Basin lake. A pet-secure, gated, fenced property with lovely gardens.

Lakeside Sorrento is a two storey A-Frame, renovated, charming and comfy cottage right on the lake. It has Wi-Fi, kayaks, relaxing decks, tropical gardens, lake/sunset views, is pet friendly and secure. An affordable home away from home for family and pets.

There is swimming and fishing at your doorstep in the shallow, sandy lake. In cooler months, enjoy the gas heater and wildlife. Explore wonderful Jervis Bay. Ideal for couples, families, dogs, cats.

Lakeside Sorrento has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including reverse cycle air condtioning and heating.

Two storey, four bedrooms, front porch deck, lakeside deck, deck off upstairs master bedroom. Bedrooms are prepared for your arrival. Lounge room TV, TV in upstairs master bedroom, free Wifi, DVD player, DVDs and games, modern kitchen, splash back, dishwasher, oven, cooktop, microwave, modern bathrooms one main; with separate large bath and shower. Another smaller bathroom off the Sunroom area. Laundry/Garage - washing machine and dryer. Double kayak, single kayak, life jackets. Sunroom with dining table, gas BBQ, views to the Lake. A bike and bush walking track out front to explore the Lake's perimeter and wildlife. Swim or fish right out front in the shallow lake or kayak the waterways. Pet blankets provided. No Smoking inside the Cottage. Care to be taken outside not to burn cushions. Sanctuary Point, St George's Basin and Vincentia shops are nearby.

How is the property laid out?

Lakeside Sorrento is a double storey A-Frame Cottage with four bedrooms and three bathrooms; one large main bathroom, one smaller bathroom located off the sunroom, and one toilet upstairs.

Ground floor

One queen bedroom; built in wardrobe. Large modern bathroom; floor to ceiling tiles; large separate bathtub; generous shower recess; vanity and toilet; hairdryer provided. Modern Kitchen on the ground floor - well equipped, kitchen with splash back, electric cook top, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and fridge. There are two decks downstairs.

The Pantry contains some coffee, tea, sugar, oil, salt and paper, tomato sauce, table cloths, candles, torch and more to ensure a comfortable stay. As well as providing all cutlery and crockery; glad wrap, alfoil, garbage bags, paper towels, serviettes, dishwashing liquid and other items are provided. Just have a look and help yourself. Lounge room

A combined, timber-floored dining and lounge room with Wifi, leather chaise lounge; TV, DVD player, DVDs, games, Large dining table, extra chairs. This area looks out to the deck and the lake. Upstairs: Three more bedrooms and a bathroom with toilet and basin.

Wi-Fi, Netflix, Pay TV - will I have it?

Lakeside Sorrento has a 50" smart TV with access to Netflix, Stan and Prime. Please bring your own account details to access these streaming services.

Complimentary Wifi is provided. Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the Wi-Fi will always work (due to the area) and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a backup plan.

What about outdoors?

On the roadside entry to the property there is a walled-in tropical garden and circular driveway providing security and privacy. This area is ideal for dogs as the fences are very high. On the lake side, the garden has a lower fence and a gate opening to the reserve/lake, and a walking / bike track which goes for kilometres. There is a lake side deck looking out towards the water with a comfortable outdoor lounge setting, table and chairs. Sunroom / BBQ Area - There is newly renovated smaller bathroom with a vanity, shower and toilet; ideal for use after swimming in the lake.

The sunroom entertainment area has a gas BBQ and fold back doors to let the outside in and the kayaks out

Laundry facilities in the garage include a washing machine, dryer and iron.

Staying warm or keeping cool?

There is a reverse cycle air conditioner in the lounge and living room and an effective gas heater in the lounge room heats the whole cottage with ease. Nonetheless, doonas, blankets, electric blankets and heaters are provided in the bedrooms for winter. For the warmer months, the three upstairs bedrooms have ceiling fans, and the downstairs living room has a portable fan, in addition to the reverse cycle airconditioning unit locted there.

What about sheets, towels and other supplies?

Sheets, towels, bath mats, hand towels, and tea towels are provided for the number of guests indicated on the booking. Please ensure you specify the correct amount of guests. Thanks.
The beds are made up for you. Bring your own beach towels.

Parking for cars, boats etc.?

The double garage fits one small car. The large circular driveway allows for another two to three medium sized cars.

Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?

Yes, Lakeside Sorrento is a pet friendly property, subject to the following rules:

The yards are fully fenced
The main tropical garden has high pet-secure fence.
The Lakeside yard has a low fence - safe for small dogs
Pet blankets are provided
Do not allow wet or dirty dogs in or through the house
Please bag and dispose of doggy waste appropriately and clean the lawns of any waste

* What are the minimum stay rules?

- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights

Are there any special Summer Season rules?

Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.
