Poor Management and Major Cleanliness Issues
We booked at Sabas but were redirected to Coco Blue Beach Resort upon arrival. Although it was presented as an upgrade, the hotel was completely unprepared. There was no front desk and no management system in place. We waited over an hour for our rooms; despite having a confirmed booking for two, they were overbooked and had to convert a storage room into a guest room for us.
The hygiene standards were very poor. Both rooms were extremely dusty and had not been properly cleaned. Most concerningly, one of the rooms had been soiled by a pet. Since there was no housekeeping staff available, I had to clean the area myself using my own supplies.
The service was equally disappointing. During dinner, the staff refused to split the bill between our two rooms. When we attempted to resolve the payment issue, the owner’s wife was highly unprofessional. She was confrontational and made offensive, generalized comments toward our group rather than trying to find a solution. While the physical property is new, the lack of staff, poor sanitation, and disrespectful treatment of guests made this a very negative stay. This resort needs professional management and a basic standard of hospitality before it can be recommended.
