WE HAVE VERY STRICT CLEANING PROTOCOLS IN PLACE. WE USE PREMIUM DISINFECTANTS AND CLEANING PRODUCTS TO CLEAN THIS PROPERTY. I PERSONALLY SUPERVISE THE HIRED MAID SERVICES TO ENSURE THEY COMPLY WITH OUR CLEANING PROCEDURES.

MY PARTNER DOES THE POOL CLEANING HIMSELF AS HE IS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE POOL SERVICE PROVIDED BY COMPANIES THAT VISIT AT LEAST 8 HOUSES A DAY.

WE ARE NOT SKIMPING IN CLEANING CHEMICALS. WE MEASURE MUCH MORE THAN THE POOL PH, ACID AND CHLORINE LEVELS EVERY TIME THE POOL IS SERVICED. PERIODICALLY, WE TAKE THE SAMPLES OF THE WATER FOR A MORE COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS.

Immerse yourself in tropical surroundings in this cozy Mediterranean style home. As Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, no passport is required to travel to the Island of Enchantment. It's just 4 hours from New York, 2 1/2 from Orlando, and 2 from Miami!

THE HOUSE

This charming and cozy house is perfect for your beach getaway. Upon entering the property, coastal decor immediately makes you feel in a beach atmosphere. The interior’s gorgeous hues of whites and blues harmoniously blend to create a seaside backdrop.

For those nights you stay in, enjoy your favorite programming with the family room's streaming-ready 4K Smart TV Home Theater System or play table games like foosball. Stay connected with friends and business with the property's whole home 3 Gbps Wi-Fi speeds.

Relax and have a toast with your friends and family at your own private pool. Complete with an outdoor terrace, BBQ, patio seating and surrounded by palm trees, the welcoming backyard is the perfect setting to unwind and soak up the Caribbean sunshine.

The house includes a living room, kitchen, family room, 3 spacious bedrooms, and 2 1/2 bathrooms. The kitchen includes a stove top, utensils, cups, basic cookware, an oven, rice cooker, blender, coffee machine, microwave oven, toaster, refrigerator and freezer. The master bedroom has its own bathroom, TV, and a small workspace. Beach towels are provided, and the use of washers and dryers is free. The residence has 2 parkings in an open garage, and 2 more spaces are available in front of the house.

A comprehensive welcome book (made by María!) offering recommendations for activities in Dorado and nearby towns are included in the residence.

DORADO DEL MAR

Casa Playa Dorado is situated in the gated resort community of Dorado del Mar. The resort grounds have two beaches, tennis courts, and a basketball court. The community also has a golf course (which is scheduled to reopen in 2020 after concluding with repairs from Hurricane María). Wide streets and well-kept sidewalks make it perfect for jogging. The house is strategically located near the main gate, three blocks from the tennis courts, and a 2-minute car ride from the nearest beaches.

Soak up some sunshine, listen to the waves crashing, and enjoy beautiful sunsets in the two beaches that lie within the resort. The first, located right in front of Dorado del Mar, is lined with palm trees and protected by a natural reef. The second beach, located in the Embassy Suites, can be enjoyed free of charge (if you walk from a designated path).

DORADO/THINGS TO DO

Founded in 1842, the picturesque town of Dorado is emblematic of Puerto Rico’s cultural diversity. Its mixture of Spanish heritage and a presence of residents originating from the U.S. mainland brings vibrancy and dynamism to the community. Additionally, Dorado is widely regarded as one of the island’s prime beach towns.

The lively public beach, Balneario Manuel Morales, is adjacent to Dorado del Mar's beach, and is less than 5 minutes by car from the main gate. You can rent a kayak and take it for a spin around the gorgeous blue waters. If you’re hungry, indulge delicious tropical drinks and famous local cuisine in beachside open-air kiosks and restaurants. The establishments near the beach are perfect spots to "chinchorrear", the local term for hanging out. Have a culinary experience by savoring Puerto Rican eats by the beach, such as fried fritters, fresh seafood, "mofongo", piña coladas, "alcapurrias", and "empanadillas".

When going out for dinner, try the diverse cuisine Dorado has to offer. Just minutes away from the main gate lies a treasure trove of restaurants, bars, and outdoor establishments that cater to a variety of tastes. From traditional Puerto Rican dishes and Cuban-style food to Mexican cantinas, Chinese food, Sushi, food trucks, Spanish tapas, teppanyaki, bistros and refined Italian dining, Dorado’s vast culinary scene will satiate your desires.

Additionally, if you’re looking to dance and sing to Caribbean rhythms (such as salsa and merengue), the Embassy Suites hotel frequently hosts live music on Fridays and Saturdays.

DAY TRIPS:

Go one day and enjoy the capitol city, San Juan. Wander through castles and cobblestone streets in one of the oldest cities of the Americas, Old San Juan (40 minutes away).

Consistent with our philosophy of sustainability and self-sufficiency, the property boasts a solar-powered water heater, energy efficient inverter air conditioners, and a water cistern. The house is partially powered by solar energy.
