I felt the host was passive aggressive. I did not feel comfortable there at all. I stayed for six weeks. Whenever I brought up an issue he got very defensive. I told him that there was a speaker blown out on the TV and he said I probably turned it up too loud and broke it. There was mold in several spots. He did have someone paint the area in the bathroom, but not in the bedroom. There was a leak in the bathroom sink underneath and they fixed the leak but put towels down and told me to change out the towels. Whenever you opened up the cabinet, you had a big whiff of mildew mold smell. It was also that way every time I opened up the silverware drawer , you would inhale the smell of mold and mildew. He said someone would be in every 10 days to clean, but it was more like changing the sheets and washing the Floors. At one of the 10 day interval, he pushed it out to 14 days so he wouldn’t have to do it again one more time before we left. He also told me to get out of the condo when then housekeepers were coming. He would notify us a few hours prior to and then change the time several times. The new linens they brought in at times had a faint smell of cigarette smoke. The whole time we were there there were dusty rags on top of the cabinets and old boxes from light fixtures on top of the refrigerator. I also asked him if he had a bigger pot to cook in and maybe a colander since I would be there for six weeks and the place sleeps six people.. he said no it is equipped just fine.
