    The Space:

    Step into classic tropical charm with our 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom apartment in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico! This inviting retreat captures the essence of island living, boasting timeless decor and a laid-back atmosphere. What makes this unit truly special is its panoramic views from its private rooftop and its fantastic location close to all the adventure.



    Flor Dorada is a short drive away from El Yunque Rainforest, some of the best beaches, and tours the island has to offer.



    This property includes 2 parking spaces and a washer and dryer for your convenience.





    LIVING AREAS



    Enter Flor Dorada, and you are greeted by the inviting living and dining area. The living room embodies simplicity and lightness, creating a serene atmosphere that seamlessly blends with the coastal surroundings. The space features a flat-screen comfortable leather sofa, and by the end of the living area is the 6-person dining table and the balcony where you can enjoy the nice breeze and a morning coffee.



    The oceanfront balcony is a fantastic space that features an outdoor dining table for 4 and two rocking chairs to relax after a long day exploring Puerto Rico. Adjacent to the living area, you have a fully equipped kitchen.





    SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS



    Flor Dorada comfortably sleeps 6 guests in 3 full-size bedrooms.



    The Master bedroom features a king-size bed, access to the oceanfront balcony, a dedicated ensuite bathroom, and beautiful views of the tropical vegetation and the ocean.



    The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has a full bed. These two bedrooms conveniently share a full bathroom that features a bathtub with a shower.



    PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):



    We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.





    KITCHEN



    Flor Dorada has a fully equipped kitchen perfect for an extended stay. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, stovetop, oven, blender, coffee maker, and toaster oven. It offers views and access to the balcony, which you can open to allow the fresh tropical breeze in.



    The dining table, which seats 6, is conveniently located beside the kitchen so cooking and dining can become one social event.





    GETTING AROUND & PARKING



    Flor Dorada includes two (2) parking spots.



    Renting a car is a must when staying in Rio Grande as Ubers and taxis are not readily available in this area.



    There are many activities within 15-30 minutes of driving distance and the roads are easy to navigate.





    LOCATION



    There are many things to do in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Here are our top picks which you will be sure to enjoy during your stay:



    Explore the lush and exotic El Yunque, the only rainforest under US Flagship. We can help you plan a hike or participate in a zip-line adventure.



    Experience the glowing waters on a night kayak tour in the bioluminescent bay in Fajardo.



    Taste the local flavors at the staple kiosks in nearby Luquillo – right next to the beach.



    Go on horseback or a four-track ride off the beaten path in Carabali Rainforest Park.



    Play a round of golf at the Wyndham Rio Mar Golf Course or any of the neighboring nearby courses like Bahia Beach Resort & Golf Club in Rio Grande or El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo.

    STARTER AMENITIES



    At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.



    All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach towel per guest.



    We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:



    - 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)

    - 3 garbage bags

    - 1 roll of paper towels

    - 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)

    - 1 dish soap

    - 1 dish sponge

    - A small amount of laundry detergent



    Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.



    Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.





    HOUSE RULES



    RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.



    NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.



    NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.



    QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.



    UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.



    MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 6 adults/children at all times, including visitors.



    OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.



    TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.



    TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.



    SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.





    CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES



    Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.



    If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.



    If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.



    Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you.





    TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON



    We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.



    Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.

overall, excellent stay. The place was very clean and as advertised. Linens and towels were all new and clean. The deck was nice in the morning to have coffee. Washer and dryer worked well.
