The property (which was at a different house number than given on the listing) looks to have been recently renovated to a reasonably high standard. However, some elements were not quite finished or thought through properly. Yet the issues can be easily remedied. For example, when showering under the main shower head you can be seen through the window because the blind is too far away from the window so it can be opened. There was a slightly damp odour on arrival, which we put down to the wet cloth under the sink and bucket in the corner. There were stains on the bed, couch arm, twin bedroom wall, and a mosquito squashed on the main bedroom wall. We didn’t need the cot but would not have used it because it was not clean. The twin bedroom bed sheets looked like there were from the 90’s, as did some of the towels. There was only enough hot water for two showers. There were only two coat hangers. There were several mosquitos, which resulted in many bites (and a cockroach we caught under a cup). There were hand towels but nothing to wash up crockery with. The washing machine (even though on a half load) vibrated across the floor when on spin. If we had left it on and gone out it would have destroyed the bathroom. On the pro side, the air conditioning was excellent and the TV was great. The beach is just over the road and there are some great local shops and restaurants. Plus the host provided a six pack of 2 litre water bottles.
