Cottage With Sea Views And Direct Access Onto Coastal Path

  • East Soar is a beautiful farm cottage located on the South West coastal path and a stone's throw away from the quaint sea side town of Salcombe. The cottage provides excellent accommodation for those that want to get away from it all and is set in the most spectacular of settings with sea views all around. There are several spectacular sandy beaches within easy walking distance including Starehole Bay, Soar Mill Cove and South Sands. The cottage is perfect for family holidays, friends wanting to get together or couples looking for a romantic break. Walkers and birdwatchers are most welcome and you will not be disappointed with what the area has to offer. There is a small tea shop on the farm where you can indulge in home baked cakes and soups with various other refreshments also available. Logs for the wood burner is provided at no extra cost. Meals can also be provided by prior arrangement.

The the cottage next to the house is really nice place, very clean and cosy.The location is perfect for hiking, only one thing you should be aware of that is very good internet in the area, but again if you’re looking for nice hiking spot I will definitely recommend.

Very enjoyable stay. Lovely clean and well appointed cottage with great views and comfortable beds. Great for coastal walls but only 12 minutes from Salcombe. No real to talk to the hosts but overall very welcoming.

Blissful stay

We absolutely loved our stay at East Soar Farm. Lovely hosts and excellent location for a break away from our busy lives. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay memorable and very relaxing. Thank you again.

Lovely stay at East Soar Farm. Great location, peaceful and lovely walk to South Sands along the coastal path. Cottage was exactly what we needed. Will definitely go back.

A lovely getaway

We had a wonderful time at East Soar farm. The kids enjoyed being surrounded by the animals and we did the splendid walk to Salcombe Beach and back. The apartment has just what you need in order to cook, sleep and shower and was very clean upon arrival. We felt very welcome and well taken care off.

The house is in a lovely spot and great for coastal walks. We had a free basket of logs for the log burner but it was too warm to use them unfortunately. There’s no mobile signal but there is WiFi which makes up for that.

A little Bit of Paradise!

A Perfect place to disappear for a while.Wild natural beauty on the doorstep. Fabulous accommodation and all the comforts you need. We took our three Grandchildren and we are all looking forward to returning soon…. Easter break on the Farm

We had an amazing stay on East Soar Farm. The property was clean, comfortable and cosy, and was like a home from home. The log burner with an endless supply of logs was very welcome on the chilly nights.Our three young children had great fun spending time with the animals, including getting into the field with the newborn lambs and nursing them! Our children are desperate to return.The surroundings were beautiful, and there were a number of lovely walks along the coastal path, which was on the doorstep.Schalk and Marijke were wonderful hosts. Their communication before we arrived was extremely helpful and timely and they were readily available throughout our stay.

Idyllic location in cozy accommodation

We enjoyed 3 nights in this comfortable and homely cottage which adjoins the main farm house. Plenty of room for our family of four and everything in perfect working order and condition. Particularly enjoyed the wood burning stove! We were given a warm welcome by our hosts who were informative about our surroundings and always happy to help with our queries. The location is absolutely perfect for cliff walks and 2 minutes brings you to the coastal path and the most stunning views of the sparkling sea. We were blessed with sunny days which added to the breathtaking panorama. 45 minutes walk turning left along the coast brings you to South Sands and thereafter, North Sands and finally Salcombe itself which was heaving with visitors due to the Easter weekend and glorious weather. It was bliss to escape the hoards and return to our peaceful cottage. Would definitely return!

Die Lage am Coastpath zum Wandern zum Beispiel nach Salcombe und Overbeck als auch die spektakulär andere Richtung ist als Ausgangspunkt sehr empfehlenswert. Die Unterkunft selbst ist innen vor allem auf der oberen Etage sehr geschmackvoll und wohnlich eingerichtet. Und bietet mit drei Schlafzimmern und auf zwei Etagen viel Platz. Auch die Küche/Wohnraum mit Kamin den wir nicht brauchten ist großzügig bemessen.Allerdings gab es wohl einen Wasserschaden in der Küche (die ist renovierungsbedürftig) wo es muffig bis schimmelig vor allen im Schrank roch. Auch der Essplatz im Innenhof kann genutzt werden ist mit wackeligem Tisch aber nicht so einladend. Der Vermieter wohnt gleich daneben. Das Netgear-WLAN war mal da meist aber nicht. Meerblick aus den Zimmer gibt es definitiv nicht und der einzige schnell erreichbare Sandstrand ist wegen Erosion nicht mehr zugänglich da bleibt nur Soar Mill oder Hope Cove bzw. Salcombe. Als wir ankamen wussten wir zunächst nicht wo die Unterkunft auf dem Gehöft ist, ein Schild wäre vorteilhaft. In Summe aufgrund der Lage und Ruhe sehr gut und absolut empfehlenswert wen nicht der Wasserschaden in der Küche stört.

Wunderschöne Ecke südlich von Salcombe! Die Cottage ist allerdings nicht freistehend, sondern Teil der East Soar Experience - einer größeren Farm mit Gruppenaktivitäten und Camping.Es war aber herrlich ruhig und die Landschaft und das Meer sind umwerfend schön dort!!Vielen Dank Schalk!

Perfect location!

We had a fabulous weekend at East Soar! The cottage was cosy and comfortable and the location was perfect for exploring the coastline. Our children loved their time on the farm itself, exploring the fairy woods and playing with Winslow! We will definitely be returning! Thank you!

Fabulous location!

What a fabulous location, walks on the Coastal path to the beaches from the cottage, plenty of firewood, kitchen has everything you need and comfortable beds. Would highly recommend and hopefully we will be back again! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Goldener Herbst

An der wilden und wunderschönen Küste liegt das Ferienhaus auf der Farm der Besitzer direkt am Küstenpfad, auf dem man stundenlang die abwechslungsreiche Landschaft erkundet. Wir hatten tolle Tage! Die sehr netten Vermieter haben uns mit sebstgebackenem Schokokaden- und Karottenkuchen und mit frischen eigenen Eiern verwöhnt - lecker!-herzlichen Dank! - auch für die Sorge um unsere wirklich späte Ankunft! Gerne wieder!
