Please note that, according to the municipality's bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free. Lead guest must be 30+ years of age. A supplemental information form must be completed.

The Magnetawan River runs throughout the Burks Falls/Magnetawan district, at times charging rapidly through rocky areas and at other times meandering almost imperceptibly through flat areas. One of these lazy river areas is just where you will find this pet-friendly cottage rental in Almaguin Highland. Bankside Cottage combines traditional and modern, with the original cottage providing classic cottage ambience and a modern addition offering more spacious sleeping accommodations, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. As a welcome bonus, your group will love the games room on the upper level, complete with pool table and air hockey. Although you enjoy a wilderness feel here, Internet and satellite TV keep you in touch with the rest of the world. The woodstove makes for cozy nights in front of the fire in the cooler months, making Bankside a great winter cottage rental as well!

A post-rental cleaning service is included for all rentals; however, the cottage is to be left in a tidy condition

Watercraft are available seasonally when conditions allow (typically Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, depending on water levels, safety, and weather); refunds will not be provided if conditions prevent use.





Waterfront The cottage is set close to the waterfront, offering magnificent views up and down the river from both the deck and dock. The water deepens quickly from the shoreline and dock, providing excellent swimming and fishing conditions. Small watercraft can be launched directly from the property, and the setting enjoys a desirable northwestern exposure.



Winter Notes The cottage is on a municipally maintained road and is easily accessed in all seasons, however the Huntsville/Magnetewan area can be prone to large snowfalls, so it is best to be prepared anytime during the Winter months.
