'This is not the traditional type of big, luxurious Japanese onsen hotel but it’s new, relaxing, airy and chic. In room bath is great with amazing view from the room. Food (Japanese western fusion) is good and staff is friendly and helpful. There is a noodle bar which opens until late and is impressive for a hotel of this scale. 'Clean room, easy shuttle bus ride to base areas, helpful staff, great restaurants at the hotel, location was close to other stores and restaurants. Boot room and ski lockers were close to the shuttle pick-up/drop-off so it made equipment storage and retrieval a breeze. Will definitely be returning in the future for another wonderful ski vacation.'

'The log cabin lodge is run by Sasaki San and his mum. Lovely people. The place was clean and very quiet. All we heard were the birds and great view of the lake. Sunset made the island shine and a rainbow to appear. Since the cabin is surrounded by nature, just keep the insect screens in place when the verandah doors are open and all is good.
