The apartment is located in the hills of the Val di Vara, almost hidden from the woods of chestnuts and carpenes. It is small in size but has everything it takes to spend days in absolute trance. The construction is almost centenary but has undergone a recent modernization while maintaining the original features. Almost all the village of Quaratica is built with architecture sometimes and materials found in the surrounding areas (chestnut trees for the beams and black stone for the walls); some photos give a partial idea. At the far end of the village there is also access to a karst cave often frequented by groups of speleologists. In about ten minutes (11km) by car you can reach La Spezia and from here, with the convenience of the train you can visit the Cinque Terre or by public transport Portovenere, Lerici, San Terenzo, Tellaro, Fiascherino or Sarzana. A few kilometers but easily reachable by car is the "Le Terrazze" Shopping Center where you can buy from groceries to appliances, shoes and jewelery, with tailoring service, telephony, etc. From Quaratica starts a CAI trail leading to the Cinque Terre on one side and to Vara Valley on the other, with a first stop at the Augustine Sanctuary. For stays it is advisable to get a car or scooter for quick and autonomous travel.
